Chill in URF

I was doing a Maokai game today and did really well, my team was winning quite easily so I just started to split push and maximize farm when this Leona asks for us to group and tells us we're idiots for not grouping, we told them to chill, my team and I, and they started getting pissed. Eventually they called me a retard over and over and said I was a troll because I wanted to be able to tank by buying items instead of fighting immediately. They afk'ed and just typed in chat report Mao for trolling hes a retard and everyone in the game didn't care and laughed about how they took URF seriously. I'm confused on why this fun gamemode is taken so seriously by some, how can anyone take it as more than a joke.

Thats basically the reality of this game. There are people who take this game (doesnt matter the game mode) too serious. They fail to realize that games in general are a form of entertainment and should be enjoyed. Not a chore, or work that needs to taken serious 100% of the time. Just chill and relax. Im sure this might be one of the reason why game modes like this arent here permanently. People will take it too seriously to the point where why even bother playing when it will basically become Rank and you are only allowed to use certain champion/items, and anything else you use or do will be considered Trolling and thus should be reported! its too much of a hassle.

Tell me about it. I was playing an urf game last night, and this velkoz tells me to stop feeding. I naturally hate people so I obviously lash out and of course this brand chips in with "reported" so of course since i know i'm getting reported, what's going to stop me? I just flame the rest of the game because fuck my team, and get a 25 game chat restriction. Fucking league of sensitive tumblrinas, I uninstalled the game and i'm going back to wow where I can call people the n word and not get a single warning. :) Fizz

This is a fun mode but still has the reinforcement idea of winning being the only thing that matters really. URF by nature is pretty one sided most matches because somebody steamrolls early on an OP champ like Hec or something like that. That being said this is frustrating to people when they are losing what is supposed to be a fun format. The easiest way to fix this is to equalize the disparities of winning a losing in a fun format game. If you win or lose in a featured game mode you should get the same IP as everyone else not less if you lose and you should get equivalent champion mastery points based on your grade regardless of winning and losing. This would alleviate the tension and would be something that people can focus on even if their team is losing and not cooperating.

I was duoing with a friend in urf, and he raged so hard at the enemy team that he told them some things that are ban worthy (this was in april)
