Bans and chat restrictions

Instead of punishing us after we've served our sentence why can't you just give us an honest estimated time on when the punishment is over? Like all I got was a 10 game chat restriction which i served a while ago yet I'm still being haunted by it. How do you expect people to "reform" when your tactic to make them do so is fear mongering and constantly reminding them? If you wanted to reform people offer the players something extra for being positive instead of restricting people of something made for the entire playerbase. I'm not particularly a positive player and I tend to avoid using the chat all together at times but i'm sure a system which rewards positive behavior would be a lot more effective than an unbalanced system which keeps people in shackles even after they've served their time.

That's just my 2 cents though

Then why did you feel like you needed to add the last sentence? As for criticism, I don't think Riot should be the one to have to tell you to not act this way, nor should it positively reinforce people who break the rules. There shouldn't be any kind of special treatment or reward for acting like a normal human being and not insulting people. Yeah sure, get pissed at the afkers, the ragers, the flamers, it is more then fair to get pissed off at them, they are ruining your experience, but backlashing against them does nothing, and even then, the system has such a massive safety net, that alone flaming every once in a while won't even get you punished, or warned.

As for the system rewarding, it already does, if you don't get punished, you get free content, you get to take part in the hextech crafting system, you get RP or mystery skins on christmas, you get to keep your account, that should be all the reward and incentive you need.

Alright so you already said that it's kind of understandable to rage at afks/trolls/flamers/etc but you dodged one of my main issues here which is how riot doesn't give an estimated time to when you've "reformed" and keeps you on the leash for shit you did ages ago. Do you think it's fair that after someone has payed off their sentence they still deserve this kind of bullying and isolation by riot? Is it really fair to keep punishing someone after they've done their time?

It's not really bullying, but you really don't give an example of wha you are saying. What do you mean by being haunted for your past crime? As for the estimate it has always been 3 months to lower your tier of punishment. So that's your "probation" sort to speak. So again leave an example of what you mean that it's still punishing you, because I have honestly no clue what you mean by that!

Flaming isn't lighting a special fire that's going to bring back an afk.. stop a troll, or ignite a passion in someone to show skill...It would be hard to give a real estimate as to when punishment is over since it's different for everyone. I think it's fair to punish people who can't show restraint. Just like it's fair to punish people in everyday life for crimes. They continue to be punished after.. probation time... can't find a job and so on and so forth.

Rage all you like just don't press enter. It takes more than just one or two instances to get punished. Let's be real here.
