Argument "still gold after 700 games"

When you end up arguing with your team swain, who took ignite midlane vs zed and went 0/3, let him roam and carry game while swain still having 100 cs less than zed, his final words were:

900 games ranked and still stuck in gold, stfu I have heard this so many times, said to me or someone else, rank and amount of games just different.

This swain is right now plat 5 himself, has been almost whole season. He has played since season 4, and has like 2,5 k ranked games in total, 1 k this season.

And he is saying me, whos first season this is, that I am not worth talking with him because I have 700 games this season and I am STILL Gold I (and have failed my plat promos like 3 times lol )

I really dont understand people saying this, I am one division lower than him, with like 2 k games less, and it's my first season and I am pretty proud I have got this high already. How in hell hes any better than me if hes at same elo with me, after 4 seasons? And he was the biggest reason we lost since his laner just snowballed bot and top which we were winning. I dont say i am great at this game but at least I dont use such a stupid argument and think I am god for making it through those plat 5 promos in 4 years.

This probably isn't even worst arguments I've heard on chat but just makes me mad its used over and over again.
