i was just banned for 2 weeks due to toxicity but hear me out i understand being rude and mean isn't right, am i wrong? exactly but what if you weren't the one being so rude maybe passive aggressive in a way but not a prick i was reported by my team who all sided with some guy who constantly called me a dumb ass and i lost the motivation to win the game then they go on flaming me calling me a child because i don't feel like playing anymore and to top it off i was then banned for 2 weeks i don't mind waiting out the 2 weeks but for them to get off free of and offense after displaying such unneeded behavior is when i have to speak out to people i would like someone to explain to me why it is they got away with this behavior [zombie-brand-facepalm]

First and foremost, if people are getting to you, by all means, throw a mute at them! You can't control their behavior, but if you know it might lead to you saying or doing things you'll later regret, then it really is in your best interest to mute these people.

Second, there's no way of knowing if they 'got away with it'. You got a 14-day ban, which means either what you said was rather severe, or else you've received chat restrictions in the past couple months. Maybe these people don't behave like that regularly, in which case they aren't going to get banned (they don't ban for one-off bad games unless the chat is very severe). Or maybe they did get a punishment, but they've only had one set of chat restrictions, so the punishment they received is the 25-game chat restriction. This assumes you reported the offending players after the game. If you don't report them, there's no guarantee others will do it for you.
