I was chat restricted for 24 games only because I was already chat restricted and a gangplank reported me. This game the gangplank was the one toxic to me and I suggested that we open mid because we had a troll and afk. The gangplank then said to report me for toxicity and griefing. I then responded with I just said that I wanted to open mid. The gangplank was blaming me for the game even though I did nothing. I don't know if Riot actually reads the chat logs because I don't understand why I was chat restricted. Can someone (from riot preferably) explain why I got it.

Threatening people with reports and lobbying to mass report, accusing people of trolling, trying to convince people to throw the match (no idea if you stopped participating or not, but that's important). Basically you were nothing but negative. Just play the game, mute toxic players, and if you want to forfeit use /ff when available but otherwise continue to play.

You don't need to ask others to report for you, all reports do is flag the match for review so yours alone is fine. Was this the reform card provided in the client? If not, that one might have more matches to show.

Asking people to report is harassment, you're just using the system to do so. Each person should be reporting on their own decision, not because other people are pressuring them.

Looks like some of the guys have already gone over some of the possible reasons why this match was reported. I think something Nami said might've gotten overlooked in the debate though, so I'll bring it up again. You don't need to ask other people to report people in your matches. All it takes is a single report to flag a match for review by the IFS. Your report. Having the other people on your team or the enemy team really doesn't make that much difference. So, by calling for reports, all you are doing is breaking the rules and running the risk of getting yourself reported for harassment. The IFS isn't like the old Tribunal where you see how many people on both teams reported the player. It's an automated system that picks up the match the moment one report is submitted, and isn't impressed by all those extra pretty colors and ally 1, ally 2, enemy 1, enemy 2, etc.

And for your own sake, you might not want to call other players retards anymore. That is a form of hate speech based on mental disability, and it's not looked on too favorably by many players.

Riot has ridiculously strict standards for what can be considered worthy of punishment, so although logically it may seem it was for nothing, that isn't the case with Riot's system.
