LeaverBuster Pro's and Cons
the LeaverBuster is a good idea and has many pros.
the pros of LeaverBuster -an incentive to not leave a game -Allows a higher chance of playing with someone who will not leave -is more likely to have people stop leaving
however, there are many more cons and alternatives
the cons of LeaverBuster -takes more time to "complete a game", making it more likely for the player to leave, as a game takes approximately 60 mins instead of forty -while it does say leaving your team makes a negative impact on your team, if the player is feeding (unintentionally) and doesn't want the team to fail because of this, he still cant leave due to the chance of earning a LeaverBuster. I personally believe a fed team is more infuriating than a 4 on 5 -LeaverBuster personal experinences and problems: I once had waited for my fiveteen minutes for me to enter the queue, then suddenly the client disconnected me from the internet (I checked my internet, it was the client). When I reconnected, i had to wait another 15 minutes to join, and I did nothing wrong -makes people angrier, making them more likely to insult others and do poorly, adding a negative effect to the team -unexpected things happen: power failure, siblings, games going longer than expected, etc.
This is why i believe the LeaverBuster is not the best idea
Some alternative to LeaverBuster (These are just random, mabye dumb ideas) -just one game of having to wait instead of the next five -Making those who leave more likely to join games with their "type" (those others who like to leave much) -Make a game type where people can leave without a chance of earning leaverbuster (like there's blind pick, there's one for people who might not be able to finish) *I do understand this doesn't affect greifers as they can just join something else, so I just want this anyway, even if LeaverBuster is not changed. I also know Custom games do not count as leaving, but you have to have friends to do that (and still have fun).
Thank you for reading this, and inform me if there is something i missed or other alternatives to this
