League Players Get Offended Way Too Easily

Often when I play ranked, I will tell my team mates to do something simple such as, ward this brush, get a sweeper, stop face checking. Yet a lot of the times i have noticed that I get responses such as, "Jayce youre so toxic, mute", even though I was just giving out a tip.

Examples:

Me: "Mid I need ward top river please" Mid: (Doesnt ward top river brush, still sitting on 2 wards) Game: Enemy junglers comes through red jungle, behind my lane and kills me Me: "Mid thats why I need wards top side river to prevent that" Mid: "Muted"

Me: Janna stop risking your life to ward their jungle Janna: dies in enemy jungle Me: Please Janna we dont need offensive wards when we're behind Janna: /all Report Jayce hes so toxic omg

Theres a lot more examples i can provide, and yes both these happened within the past few games. I dont get why people think advice is considered toxic in this game. I am just trying to help you be a better player by fixing your mistakes.

Friendly reminder that the statements "The community is too weak for my comments" and "my comments are too harsh for the community" are logically equivalent.

Additional friendly reminder that if the problem is everyone except for you, then the problem is you.

Mostly because no one hired you to be their coach.

In that first example, you are a little passive aggressive, but heck you wouldn't get punished for the occasional comment like that.

In the second, you weren't really negative at all.

I doubt you were punished for these logs, but if you were please post your logs so we can identify if there's anything else in them. Also, remember that Janna/mid can report you all they want, but you don't run the risk of being punished if you're playing normally and not being overly negative. And, in fact, if they're acting negative in response to your slightly-less-than-neutral-but-still-pretty-neutral advice, then you can report them.

If they are not willing to take the advice (as is their right to do so), they did the right thing and mute you instead of getting tilted by being pointed out their mistake(s) and start a flame war.

Yes, it is nice to give people advice. No, people can choose to follow it or not. You are not their coach or their teacher. You are on similar MMR as them.
