Is there no way to give honor...
...for your last game if you forget and go back to the main client screen? I googled it but all I found were requests that such a system be implemented, and all of those were a few years old.

There isn't. The Honor Initiative needs to be reworked with the Tribunal, and won't happen until they can move on from the client update. I don't really expect results from that until 4-6 months into next season at least, assuming they even give the behavior systems a reasonably high priority.
