Whether it works is secondary.

The main point is that you don't report people on the boards.

no if it works is not secondary if it does not work then alternate means are needed

Kei1432 votes

well, the proof is that it doesn't work on the boards for sure.

Yes, that is the point. Riot decides how to punish people, and no one but Riot is in charge of that. Whether it is justified or not, punishments are not handled on the boards; rather, support tickets are the only real way to report with screenshots outside of game. If Riot chooses not to ban a player for telling you to die in a house fire, that is Riot's prerogative. The point of submitting a ticket is not to stalk a person's account after the submission waiting for results. The idea is to take satisfaction in knowing someone was presented with sufficient evidence to do as they deem necessary. You will never meet that player again.

You will never meet that player again.

except in your next game because there's nothing stopping riot from matching you with them again....

gives you another reason to report them again :P

I'm normally happy to get them in the same game again, esp if they decide to troll.

zacktootall5 votes

there is no proof that is why people do this on the boards

zacktootall1 votes

and post it on the boards so that way if the person your having a problem with isnt already banned and pops up in one of our game we can report them too

OnlyYouCanHearMe2 votes

LOL I think the point of the post was that players cannot post the names here on the boards. so that there would be no way for anyone to know if they popped up in our games or not. There's always an issue with Naming and Shaming, and those posts will always be deleted. Players are free to post screenshots, provided that the names have been blurred out.

and there in lies the flaw if we want them banned then we have to go through riot witch is not how that should riot should be all for banning the trolls and assholes of this game but they are not because numbers matter more then player opinion

Giving players the power to make the final decision and ban other players would be a bad idea.

zacktootall1 votes

what do you think to reporting does. its a chance for one player to get another player banned bad idea or not we already have it, we already do it so.......

This Is Your Dad2 votes

The final decision. As in, hey, this player is having a problem with this player, so let's make the call on whether the problem is just one instance or a big deal.

zacktootall1 votes

but it doesn't come to that unless a report is made

Icy Hot Shoto1 votes

Yeah, sure, post all over the boards and watch as the post gets removed and you eventually get a board ban from refusing to NOT name and shame.

Don't start Witch hunts. It makes YOU the bad person.

Sending reports through a ticket DOES WORK. You wont be told anything, but the person will be dealt with.

So why was the guy who told me he was going to burn my house down allowed to keep playing then? And why is everyone I put a ticket in for still playing on?

SecondAirbane1 votes

because support tickets dont normally work only ingame reports do

This Is Your Dad1 votes

Support tickets don't normally work, BUT, and here's a big, juicy butt right here: It does more than posting on the boards does, which is just get deleted in about 3 seconds.

SecondAirbane1 votes

i said "only ingame reports do"

nothing about posting on the boards

This Is Your Dad1 votes

They prefer in-game reports, but usually support tickets are for evidence of excessive intentional feeding, such as a screenshot of them standing under a tower for no reason or their build of 6 tears. It's only one extra step you can use, but obviously in game reports do work. This was only for those who were posting images trying to get people banned on the boards.

SecondAirbane1 votes

yeah i did that to a caitlyn who was feeding for me saying "hehexd" back in mid or early 2016

was ranked
