Banning a champion that your teamate wanted to play

No. Seriously. Fuck you. Fuck the people that, when somebody says "Oh I'm just trying to practice (I'm gonna use Yasuo as my example since it happened to me when I was trying to practice Yasuo multiple times) Yasuo" and then their ally goes and bans Yasuo, with their only logic being: "if ur trying to practice just practice with bots lmao dont want an inter ruining my game" (please keep in mind I was practicing Yasuo in normals) Like... Why would somebody do this? It just doesn't make any sort of sense to me. If you want to practice a champion, sure, go ahead you're trying to get better and I respect that! But if you don't "want an inter in your games," don't play normals! You're too competitive for normals and need to bring yourself to ranked if you're just gonna ban somebody's champion because they want to practice them and get better at them. Bots are not adequate practice material. They suck. Bots are bad. It's not fun to play bots and feel like you've become Imaqtpie hiding on a newly-made smurf, shit-stomping bronzies into the dirt. If you go 30-3 in a bot game, that isn't an accomplishment. It's a waste of time. It's like people banning the new champ, or newly-reworked Evelynn because they don't want to be against her because they don't know how she works. Now in ranked, this is fine, and I respect that. However, if you ban Evelynn in normals, that just doesn't make sense. You're denying another person the chance to play a champion they've been hearing a bunch of hype over for about a month (about 6-7 months if you count the huge Riot info leak a while ago - here's a link to it http://bit.ly/2yeqXZW ). They've been hearing about Nightblue 1000 ap one-shotting my mom divorced my goldfish after this one for a while, and they want to try her out. Then you just throw them a huge FUCK YOU to them.

Anyways, INB4 all the downvoters that do the thing that I'm condemning, this was just a lil bit of a rant after seeing a post about somebody seeing their allies hover Evelynn twice in a row and the person dodging twice in a row.

Don't forget to buy wards. [slayer-jinx-wink]

EDIT: TLDR, fuck the people that ban champs that people wanna play. EDIT 2: I'm talking about normals. If you don't want a first time Yasuo in ranked when you're in your promos, I'm in the same boat. I'll ban that shit in a heartbeat.

When this happens I always stealth troll. When a mid banned my friend's jungle I double proxied the whole game. If someone bans my jungle, I go on a spiritual journey through the jungle and just dont gank while watching a tv show on the side, "sorry guys i'm not the best jg." When someone bans singed top, I either proxy with rammus and just get fucked or I decide to play a champion I don't have much experience on.

Summary: Fuck those people, I won't be bullied into dodging during champ select

I'm banning Yasuo regardless if someone wants to play it or not, it's a champion that can be played only by Diamond 1 and above. So if you burst into a flame fest or start griefing, well that can be used against you and get yourself banned.

There is one solution for this kind of issues. That would be : if you preselect a champ, it will be impossible for anyone in YOUR TEAM to ban it. But a feature like this will end up with people dodging games and flame those who play Yasuo,Zed etc.

The prevalent view seems to be that the value of banning highly-contested picks that the enemy has priority in choosing outweighs the troll/douchebag potential of just griefing your own team by banning the champ they wanted to play.

I disagree with that, but this seems to be the way that these threads go.

I don't intentionally ban people out. But I do have a ban that I do 100% of the time. And if someone happens to hover it, I don't care. I'm still banning it. Ranked OR Normals. Doesn't matter.

Riot fails because who doesnt get triggered when someone bans your champ pick. If you don't get triggered, you're either lying or you're a sociopath capable of mass murder.

Maybe I don't feel like watching you first time Eve in ranked after her rework? For normals though, I agree that it's messed up.

There is a version of normal's where no one makes bans. If you need to practice go to blind pick, it's not like you don't have options.

For example a lot of people are banning Evelynn right now partly because they don't want someone totally new to a champion in their game, seemingly every game. And I see no issue with that, coming from someone whos starting to play her.

Some of the competitive people in draft aren't ready for ranked but still don't want to play with newbies. and thats okay. Some people just dont like playing against or with a certain champion. and thats okay.

I'd ban your champion if you go into ranked saying you just wanna practice. Get that shit outta here.

I just never hover my champion. Theres really no reason to unless its a highly contested pick/ban champ and you're first pick.
