Is it okay to leave?

I just jungled for a 4 man premade (they all had the same club tags). They grouped up on me to contest our own buffs, and managed to get them from me, beginning with the second (my first blue). Then they started ridiculing me for not being able to contribute, I wasn't even dieing, i just wasn't able to be very effective for obvious reasons.
Not that this happens often but when it does like... what is the incentive to stay? Is there some exception in the way the system is set-up that permises leaving in cases like this? Further, should riot do something to punish groups who gang up on people like this? I reported them all, and they all reported me I'm sure. Had I actually left I feel like everyone would have reported me and it would go to tribunal and I'd have been punished but like... that's not right. There needs to be some further action taken against club members and pre-mades ganging up on solo-queuers to abuse them like this.

Don't leave the game. Just "/mute all"

Mute all and build for split push. Never group up, they clearly don't want you anyway. That's what I'd do anyway.

OR just ignore chat, record the game and send it in to riot support as extra evidence for reporting them. (Riot don't mind this one bit)

First, Leaving is handled by a different system anyway. LeaveBuster has some leniency for real life emergencies, but its best not to consume that needlessly in case you actually have an emergency at some point. This leniency recovers, but does so very slowly.

Second, Just remember only 1 report is enough to get someone flagged for that match. And once flagged, it does not lead directly to punishment. It leads to a review. If the report that lead there turns out to be false, the report(and the reporters report weight) gets thrown out.

So a group that all reports you has no more power than just one person reporting you. And that means, you have the same power as the group trying to report you.

So long as you don't do something that the Behavior Systems would punish you for you'll be fine.

I'm sure if you report there clan tag and names included for verbal abuse toward you, that riot will read it and punish accordingly (one can hope)

personally, i'd just ignore them, play the game out, and report. these are the same morons who will be posting on the forum about their unfair ban.
