Sore Winners and Sore Losers.

Before I get into this, let me explain what they are for those who don't understand.

A sore loser is basically someone who takes losing too personally. Example, they lose and begin flaming their team, the enemy and basically throwing one hell of a temper tantrum.

A sore winner is basically someone who takes winning to the point of obnoxiousness. Example, they win and spam 'ez' or goad the enemy team with questions like 'ff?'

Both are just as bad as the other, both are just as toxic as the other. It's a behaviour that is unacceptable in any scenario where someone has to be the loser. Let me give you an example of a match I had where I was on the same team as a sore winner. It was an ARAM, I was Pantheon and was pretty stoked as I was being able to help my team with a hell of a lot of damage and CC. But lo and behold, we had a Teemo who kept spamming 'ez' despite not doing anything useful other than the odd shroom for wave clear. That is a sore winner. Trash-talks and has a superiority complex. Despite winning it didn't feel good knowing I actively let this piece of shit piggyback off of me.

The point I'm trying to make is this simple request; Don't be a dick.

Sore winners and sore losers are equally immature. They are toddlers acting out and putting others down to make themselves feel superior.

I agree. It honestly makes no sense to me, especially in norms or in ARAM. We've all won and lost games before, especially sore winners in these modes. We've all won and lost games before, you're not special. We've all had a bad game on our main, and we've all had a good game on a new champ we've picked up. You're not gaining anything special out of a normal game. Ranked is a little different since you do have something at stake here, but I still don't care for it. I mean currently the game is so snowbally, that if you even make the sightliest mistake early on, it can sometimes cost you the lane, I ain't impressed by you.

I can understand a little bit of smack talking if that's the mood of the game, ya know those games where everyone is joking around, and you do a "?" if the enemy failed a dive, or failed flash, something light-hearted like that is fine but not when you're trying to actually shit all over the other person.

Tilting is a strategy in this game. Abusing human psychology, regardless of how nasty and prudent it may seem, is an effective way to climb. I got to Plat by being this so called "dick". If you're an extremely humble person, then this isn't a strategy for you. But as long as you don't get too personal, I think it's acceptable. There's even youtube videos telling you to try your best to tilt the opposing team as hard as you can to ensure victory.

My favorites:

"?" "lel" ":v" "That's a tilter" "Haha" "hehexd" "LOL"

And, to an extent, simply repeating one insult repeatedly regardless of what the opposing party tries to say.

"So bad." "So bad." "So bad."

Don't forget your mastery spam. :P Eventually, the entire team's gonna be so pissed at you, that they're gonna start 5 manning you for no reason regardless of where you run. This gives your 4 other members free roam of the map as the entire team is so pissed at you, they no longer care about winning so much as they care about killing you to bm you back.

Call me a dick. Call me a sore winner. That's my strat. But, I agree... Don't be a dick... in fun game modes anyways (normals and arams).

Its just words on the Internet. You'll be OK.

I've seen people complain about winning because they didn't do it the way they wanted to. Would that be considered a sore winner?

The solution is quite simple. For Sore Losers: Mute them, it's an easy fix and if they decide to grief it's their lp their money and their account thats going to be taken away because of what they're doing. For Sore Winners: If any enemy kills them, you'll probably see them type "WTF", "BROKEN CHAMPION", "NERF" and sometimes they might even rage quit. These players are most likely 12 year old players, and have severe self-esteem issues. It's quite funny how easy they get upset. Next time, just type lol when they die and they will become salty AF.

I thought a sore winner was a teammate that was upset because of how you won the game. That happens all the time too....

I swear you could write "nice is good" on this forum and it would hit the front page.

I've asked enemy team to off before in attempts to tilt them, cos we have a strong early game but they have an amazing late game.

Sometimes it works to tilt them more.

In what world does everyone behave 100% like everyone thinks they should....oh thats right, that is impossible because everyone thinks people should behave differently. Press the mute button, problem solved.

Well, to be fair most of us are easily evil assfukers on the internet. :P

Most of the time, we're just dumb bastards that have nothing better to do. And in terms of being a sore loser, sometimes most of us need to take a step back or two from the game to cool our heads.

As much as we want to punish a sore winner, we can at least block them and never see them again later on in any of our future games. If they want challenjour, they'll have to deal with being within 0.05% of the playerbase where they have to play against the same set of people with a higher chance of getting autofilled. GL to them lol
