Just mute everyone at the start of the game! Unless i'm playing with friends i mute everyone. The most i've received is a 25 game chat restriction and that was 3 months ago. But since them i haven't gotten reported since. Want to know why? I just mute everyone because i realize there will be people who try to provoke me and get a reaction so they can get me banned. Simple as that and saves a lot of trouble.

I think the lesson all of you people need to learn is pretty simple. Just because you want to talk to people HOWEVER you feel doesn't mean you can. In real life people would stop inviting you to hang out OR if at say a bar you might go home with a black eye. Here in this game, there are chat logs and if you get caught acting like a dick repeatedly you get banned.
The fact that you have apparently received multiple bans and keep acting in the same manner is downright fascinating. Have you ever considered instead of calling some a "transvestite" maybe talking to people you don't know like a decent human being. You might find it works better.
Also it's very easy to provide feedback to someone who is losing lane without making them go on tilt. Tone works wonderfully to control your targets reaction. Of course that assumes you give a fuck about not acting like an asshat.

For example if someone calls ezreal a transvestite and my teammate gets all offended because of it I mute them right away. Know why? There's no point in dealing with sensitive people who get offended at every little thing people say.

Completely false. Reports are counted on a 'per game reported in' basis. NOT on a 'per report filed' basis. One report in any given game carries the same weight as nine reports in a game. The system is designed this way specifically to prevent premades and report begging from holding players hostage.

No one has the right to just start slandering or harassing other players regardless of how low their skill level at the game is or how brain-dead their decision making is. That makes them a bad player; not a bad or defective human being that you have to "adjust" and accommodate them.
How about instead the person you are sympathizing with above learns to be respectful instead? It is your job to exhibit behavior which is not disrespectful or offensive regardless of the other player's level of sensitivity. Some will be "chill" about it while others will take offense. Your behavior should be such that it doesn't offend people of varying sensitive personalities.
I actually thought you were giving good advice to those who get frustrated while playing and get restrictions/bans when they retaliate in ways deemed inappropriate. I thought your post was meant to give healthy advice.
Now it seems to me while you may have suggested the proper approach for these people, your reasoning is very off. So muting is the right call to make b/c players themselves don't need to be careful in their behavior but b/c muting is a way to shut out sensitive people? The behavior of these people who are doing the harassing is pathetic not the sensitive nature of some/most players of the game.

Straw Hat Loki1 votesThe reasoning is important in that your post seemed to suggest that sensitive people were an issue rather than the behavior which results in ruining the game being an issue. So rather than fixing the behavior, shutting out other people is the solution.
Nothing major but just a point I noticed and figured I'd mention than as time progresses may be players can develop tolerance so as to not have to mute the other players. In my experience, it removes the social aspect of the game.

Did play 3 games of TT ranked w/ 2 friend I believe.
