Has anything been done to counter toxicity? Real question.

I've been playing not since the very beginnign of LoL but still for a few years, over three divisions only, but it feels like the community is always very toxic. Is there anything planned, anything done to remove this? Suckerberg and his teams constantly ban Facebook accounts when their content is considered abusive or reportable. Are LoL toxic players really banned?

basically it's a video game, you don't have fun -which is the purpose of a game- when you're threaten and insulted and your game is ruined for 40 wasted minutes of your life. This is really annoying. I've started playing less and less, because I got a job but also because I didn't want my spare time to be filled with arrogant children, and yet it's still happening. It's a very frustrating thing to like a game, its content, graphics, story, but also to hate it because you have to deal with people who don't know respect.

Of coruse there's the mute all option, but that's not an option for a team game to me. If I was IRL, of course I'd take a few minutes to explain these peoplel why they should -and have- to behave, but you can't, because that's the internet. Meh.
