Trying to Run Away When There's No Chance

Why do people do this? I'm talking about those people who are in like a 1v1, both are low health and in auto range, and then one of them for some reason decides to turn around and try walking away, like character has no way to outpace the person, only real way to survive is to continue to fight and try to come on top, but they stop attacking and then try to walk away and die within next 3 seconds. Why do people do that? There's no point in it. I see it quite often.

The other thing that annoys me that I see people do often is when people refuse to jump in on a fight until their teammates are already dead. Like someone just farming not 10 seconds away and people are pinging him to help in a team fight and then they all die and then that person finally comes. Or when someone leaves a team fight, and then comes back after everyone is dead. Usually their death follows shortly after they try this. I don't get that mentality, like if you weren't going to join the fight when your team is up why did you join after?

Is either of these a player behavior issue?

These are differences in play style and strategy.

The response to both of your points is, "Because it's what the person felt was best to do at the time." You can play how you want to also.

Isn't player behavior any behavior a player exhibits? This is a player behavior issue because it's how players are behaving. There's no playstyle difference or strategy involved especially not in the first one. Behavior isn't just a verbal thing it's the actions a player takes in game. The first one is sheer panic, the person sees that their health is low, and decides to try to walk away when they should know that their champion has 0 chance of getting away unless they kill the other person, and dies within the next 3 seconds because they are no longer fighting back.

The second one is pure bad behavior, there's no point in staying outside of a teamfight and waiting for your team to die to join it. Team is in a 5v4 10 seconds away from you, asking you to join in on fight and you just farming a few seconds away and then wait til your team dies, then try to fight the enemy team and just end up dying. It's not a strategy, it's just bad behavior. I see this happening more often than I've ever seen a "clean up" happen.

For the first 1

Just a fools hope, it does reduce to damage you tske however since the opponent has to move between attacks rather than just stood whacking eachither

As for the teamright, why would a syndra be there if she has no mana? Or what if she has 5k unspent gold?

It's just panicking really, and it's really weird, like a few days ago I saw 2 melee champions just going at it and they both reach 10% around the same time, and the one on my team turns his back walks away for 3 seconds and dies. Like he woulda had a chance if he stayed and fought but he just went all OH SHIT I'M LOW and tried to walk away from it.

I said someone who is 10 seconds away from the action, staying away from the action for an entire teamfight... and then joining in after their entire team has died instead of joining in right away. If they were oom, then joining after their team died is even more stupid, if they had 5k gold to spend then that makes 0 difference if they didn't back for it and decide to try to fight the enemy team after their team is already dead. None of these situations even fit what I was talking about.

Its just panic, or they thought they could get away. Second one, they thought they got low enough to come back in and finish em off, or they were waiting for cooldowns. Theyre just mistakes.
