Honor Level 0? You mean Honor Level Teem0 because it's cancer
I've been thinking about making a post like this but then I remembered, the boards believe themselves to be morally superior and lack the understanding to separate emotion from logic; seeing as most of the boards believe a few thousand boards posters represent millions of league players and if their suggestions aren't implemented then "Riot doesn't care about it's playerbase".
The boards are like 70-80% pitchfork and stoning. Basically the boards position is you are guilty until proven innocent or you are lying and crying.
So quick disclaimer for all of you that can't think critically: This is more of an experience post than a complaint post. I could care less at this particular point if my honor level ever goes up; I'll just purchase rewards. All that aside:
Sept 4, 2017 - literally hit most honorable in a game and went level 3 honor. Got a notification for level 3 and everything.
Got reported that same game and got a 10 game chat ban.
Got honor level 0 - Dishonorable - LOCKED rewards
Sept 7, 2017 - still honor level 0 BUT unlocked rewards after 3 days of playing.
So I can unlock rewards in 3 days, (remember honor level 0 doesn't offer key frags so I guess they mean chests) but here it is October 9, 2017 and I am still honor level 0. I have not received any more punishment and I've been receiving 1-3 honor on average. I'm done climbing ranked so I only play Aram and Norms now & people seem more generous with honor, even if you have a bad game.
From reading around the boards, I see that there are people that have been honor level 0 for more than 2-4 months. Of course everyone's experience is different so we don't really know if these people have been reported again or not.
But one thing that seems like common sense is if a person has been honor level 0 for over 3 months, let's say they keep receiving infractions.... Wouldn't they be on some serious chat restrictions, game restrictions or game suspensions by now? I can understand honor level 0 for a month or two, but honor level 0 for months on end? That's extremely excessive especially for a first timer reaching honor level 0. I've seen people go from honor level 3 & 4 to honor level 1 or 0, typically with locked rewards.
But you expect everyone to climb from Locked Honor 0 to Unlocked Honor 3- 5 before the end of season but you literally aren't even allowing people to get back to Honor Level 1 after months of no punishment and receiving honors.
I'm literally sitting on 9 chests right now that I can only open by purchasing keys with real money. This isn't simply punishment, this is an obvious realization that people at Riot are out of touch with the experiences of their systems in relations to players and their realities OR they haven't even tested their own honor system for functioning reasonability.
The fact that people were reaching level 5 at faster rates than others with similar honor gains and games played OR less just shows that this honor system is extremely flawed internally. It's no wonder Riot won't implement a progress bar, it's clear there is some other type of random algorithm running this system.
There is zero reason why someone can do one wrong thing and have to suffer an entire season because of it, outside of something like a 14 day suspension and ineligibility to receive season rewards. That actually is reasonable punishment.
Honor Level 0 is honestly WORSE than a 14 day ban or chat restriction or game restriction. At least before, when someone reformed after 14 days suspension, they got to participate in rewards and even got a notification thanking them for being a better summoner and letting them know that their account is becoming healthier and less toxic.
Why is punishment via taking key frags and capsules HARSHER than punishment via receiving an actual day(s) ban and losing end of season ranked rewards? That seems backwards af. Honor level 0 is the new permaban.
