punishments

I have two accounts, one freshone that was made just a few days ago and one I've had for a year. The one I've had for a year has been honor level 1 for many months and I flame quite often on it yet I've recieved no punishments. However my brand new account that started as level 2 for honor like all accounts has been instantly given a 10 game chat restriction and forced down to level 1 honor when the most I've said was the word "fuck" a good 4 times in a particularly bad game.

It seems to me that riot is quicker to punish either new accounts or acconts eligable to recieve honors loot rather than punish the accounts that are already known to be toxic and are at a low honor level.

What are your thoughts on this?

You're right. Punishments are harder on people under level 30, probably aimed at catching additional accounts from permabanned players.

Could you give us the chatlogs? Swearing itself isn't against the rules. So I find it hard to believe that you got ban solely on saying fuck four times.

man good to know that every part of the forum is the same with people just downvoting it and not even posting a comment

Meh... little bit too anecdotal and lacking more evidence to make that conclusion. I cant let myself use that very limited amount of data (one vague story by one anonymous stranger) to come to a conclusion... it just wouldnt be scientific enough.

Rito punishes based on frequency and severity. If we leave severity out of the equation for the sake of discussion, an account that is 1 year old will likely have some 1000+ games on it. If that account is toxic in 1 game, that is 1 out of 1000 games that account is toxic in, or 0.1%. An account that was created a few days ago likely have like 10+ games on it. If that account is toxic in 1 game, that is 1 out of 10 games that account is toxic in, or 10%. New accounts do not have a lot of games played to dampen out the frequency punishment so it makes sense for new accounts to be punished faster and harder. You (speaking strictly in a general term) can't even go 10 games without being toxic vs. oh you were only toxic in 1 game out of 1000. Very big difference.
