Why is it so hard for people to play safe?

Im sick and tired of every lane losing because they dont understand that while they are behind, they cannot win fights. This is especially frustrating when they die, go back to lane, die again BUT WAIT THERES MORE! Then they go back to the lane again and keep on fighting as if the outcome will be different. If you die before I get the chance to gank, that clearly means you cant 1v1 the enemy opponent and if the opponent is so far ahead because you cant handle dropping your ego a bit and playing safely, then i wont even be able to gank because at this point the enemy will double kill us.

TLDR; Learn to drop your ego for once and play like a wuss.

I know exactly how you feel, Shaconist.

I'm frequently forced to deal with players who think charging the enemy at level three is the best way to play and then flame and blame me for not following them in. A few hours ago, I played three games in a row with a "support" that refused to heal or shield me and would then run off to play in the jungle. This gave the other side prime opportunities to call down a third player to gank me. This invited even more flaming. Frustrated, I finally went to bed.

Players seem to think that champion kills are the way to go. While player kills do get your gold and experience, player kills are not the best ways to do this. And jumping in before level three is a mistake no matter how hard the player who dies rages. The sad part is that you cannot tell them they are wrong. They aren't going to listen and would just as soon spit on you.

What can you do? I honestly don't know. So far, it doesn't matter how you explain or try to help these people. They just report you for offensive language after the game ends.

Its not about playing like "wuss" or a "man" which are stupid ways to base the game. You play the game smart thats it. Players think its street fighter and that even though you lost one fight you have the same chance of fighting and beating them as you did at the start. Nobody realizes there are a TON of factors that go into if you can trade or fight with someone bud the majority of low elo players plat and below wont even understand that.

Or when people know full well that they can't win a fight against their lane opponents, but they'll still go in alone. That annoys me so damn much...

Or support characters who charge in and die. Even more amusing is that they have heal and / or shield abilities that they NEVER use.

I enjoyed that bit last game. A Lux who would not throw her shield for anything. Twice they ran in and twice they were killed. Of course, that left me wide open to be double ganked. Then, later that same game, I go to assist a tank character. The tank runs from his attacker with 75% health leaving me to be two-shot. After those displays, I decided not to leave the base for the rest of the game. I was reported for this. But I'm not going to help a team that a) won't use their abilities properly, and b) feed me to the enemy when I try to help.

Edit: And when I say I did not leave the base, I mean that anything that came within base range, I attacked it. I didn't just sit in the base and do nothing.

Now as a jungler, you have to keep something in mind: Zoning is a thing.

Irelia Got counterpicked by a Darius . Game started, as soon as Darius was lvl 2 he was pulling Irelia into awful trades. Irelia comes back to lane as a lvl 2 against a lvl 4 Darius ready to bash her head in. Now this is where it gets awful. Irelia needs experience and farm to be able to pull back up, but Darius is freezing lane and denying her both by constantly threatening with an all in whenever she tries to get near the farm.

This has become a lose-lose scenario that can rapidly turn into a snowball where lvl 4 Irelia starts getting dived by lvl 6 Darius, this is hopeless, and if the jungler merely says "Stay safe, gotta hit that lvl 6" he's basically forfeiting the lane. Darius, by freezing is exposing his ass to a gank, so gank his ass and return the late to it's rightful state.

I TEND to play safe when behind, except when I absolutely know I can win or have no choice but to fight. Of course, its impossible to be safe when the goddamn riven keeps diving you under tower and you cant farm for shit. But hey, she takes skill, so its okay right?

maybe after they died the first time they got dived by the person who first got the kill i mean who falls back to tower for the rest of the laneing phase after dieing just once
