Having a Positive and respectful attitude does not seem to matter

After receiving a 2 week punishment in accordance with the new "Harsher punishment = better reform", I decided to voice my opinions in game in a much more polite and respectful way and not let verbal harassment entice me into harassing back. This doesn't seem to matter.

Just recently I played a game where our Diamond 5 ashe was intentionally trolling and feeding. I didn't say anything because its a normal, so whatever and I didn't want to get in any form of arguement with anyone out of fear of getting randomly reported.

So anyway, 15 mins in the score is 1 to 15. Botlane is getting smashed, almost 4 levels behind their opponents, and the enemy team is entirely late game. At this point, I VERY CALMLY advised "We should maybe consider surrendering at 20, or maybe even let them push down mid to save a little time. There is no way we can possibly come back from this".

I was immediately told to "stfu" and that I am "shit" and how glad they are they don't have to play with me in ranked. My only response to their harassment was "lmao".

At the end of the game, They told the enemy team to report me for a "negative attitude". I can see where advising a surrender vote could be considered a negative attitude if I was the one who was behind and it was only me doing poorly, but this is a game where we were 5 towers down at 15 minutes and botlane was a combined 6 levels behind. I could only imagine the gold lead.

At what point does a negative attitude simply become a realistic attitude? Because thats exactly how I feel I was being. Realistic. I didnt rage, or curse anyone out. I just said we should consider moving on from this one. It saddens me to think that after all the work I have put into reforming, I might get perma-banned for being realistic.

If you didn't do anything, the reports won't matter. Just be sure to report people like that. Sorry you had a crappy team.

I take it one step further and usually say nothing. If I say anything it's "my bad" or sometimes I will say things like "end" or "let's take this tower" that I ping.

People tilt really, really easily in this game for whatever reason. Being negative to someone or being critical of them in any way almost always results in them getting upset and playing worse.

If I'm going to be critical of someone, it'll be me being critical of myself. That's it. I can only control the way I play. I make use of the ping system and generally stay as quiet as possible, and if I am going to talk, I try to keep it short, simple and positive and for the most part it's pretty successful.

Sometimes you still end up with people who just do the best they can to make your team lose, it happens, don't let it get to you!

Reports from trolls like that don't matter. Can't tell you how many times I've had people try to false report me and I've never gotten punished.

Keep up the good work though. While you're bound to get some people who just say stfu there's also a lot of people out there who will rally behind you if you're positive.
