How Exactly and in Order Riot's Ban System works and Exact causes. Proof, Every person banned.

outlawgunner·10/19/2016, 3:12:11 AM·2 votes·1,664 views
  1. Excessively typing in chat.
  2. Asking others to report another person.
  3. Blaming your team for feeding, and not working as a team when they clearly are doing exactly that feeding and trolling.
  4. You repeat steps 1-3 above few games in arrow, and you are permanently banned without a 2 week warning.

I swear on everything, this is how it works and how you will be permanently suspended without warning.

Proof? Look at every person that has been banned, most that are permanently banned have exactly done just this.

Figured how the system works, is beating the system itself. Though it is unfair and really unjustified for the purpose it is designed for, but oh well so be it.

You won't skip from the 25 chat restriction tier (2nd) to the permaban tier (4th) just for what you're suggesting. Only severe behavior would result in you skipping multiple tiers, so if you're unsure I encourage you to post your chat logs so we can see what's in them.

Otherwise, you can submit a ticket and request Riot manually review your case.

Or you realize they got banned because doing the above things falls under unsportsmanlike/verbal harassment?

Seems legit, since all 1-3 can be recorded in chat logs, the easiest proof available. [zombie-brand-clap]

Let me play devil's advocate for a second though: Personally I think the only reason you should be banned is if you cheat or intentionally feed/leave games. I'm not toxic myself but find it stupid how people care what random people online say. Riot should just let people mute them and move on, not ban people for speaking their mind. It's a competitive game with random teams, sometimes people aren't going to agree and when people care about the game and their rank as a whole people are gonna get pissed off when teammates under perform. I don't think banning those who are toxic really changes anything. They will still be type A controlling highly competitive people who get mad when teams do badly, there's nothing you can do about it. And if you say there's a difference between cursing at your teams and telling them to do better well not exactly the only reason curse words are bad is because of the stigma surrounding them from people saying not to use them. People who are toxic will continue to be toxic, maybe even more so because of a banned account (just look at tyler1) and those who aren't toxic won't won't be affected either. I think riot should get rid of banning people for speaking their mind and instead focus on more important stuff like leavers, afkers, intentional feeders, that just ruin the game forever. You can always mute a toxic teammate if you don't want to hear them talk, and people have freedom of speech to say what they want. Regardless people shouldn't care what random people say on a video game. It's the same as on xbox or ps4 you have people talking shit calling eachother %%%gots all the time, they don't get banned because it is an inevitable part of online gaming where you can say what you want, to whomever you want, whenever you want. Banning these people doesn't achieve the goal Riot wants it to and personally I think it just adds a lot of frustration which just feeds into people being more toxic. Again this is just my opinion please feel free to comment if you disagree.

Proof? Look at every person that has been banned, most that are permanently banned had multiple chances to stop doing what gets them in trouble, but simply didn't.

Let's see them chat logs, then.

Still waiting on those chat logs to prove the whole system is a farce.

I love chatting it up in normals, but these days I got to watch it... like only use lyrics from taylor swift songs.

  1. Excessively typing in chat.

By itself no, although spending more time focused on typing than on the game doesn't help matters.

  1. Asking others to report another person.

Yes because not only is it considered harassment (i.e. "you do what I want or Imma gonna report you for it noobie!") but also it only takes one report to flag the game for review, so there's really no need to call for reports now is there?

  1. Blaming your team for feeding, and not working as a team when they clearly are doing exactly that feeding and trolling.

Constantly yelling, raging, whining and complaining about it isn't gonna magically get them to stop feeding and/or trolling. There's no need to stoop down to their level and put yourself at risk for punishment as well.

  1. You repeat steps 1-3 above few games in arrow, and you are permanently banned without a 2 week warning.

I swear on everything, this is how it works and how you will be permanently suspended without warning.

From the Instant Feedback System FAQ:

PUNISHMENTS GENERALLY FOLLOW A BASIC ESCALATION PATH:

  • First Offense: 10 Game Chat Restriction
  • Second Offense: 25 Game Chat Restriction
  • Third Offense: Two Week Suspension
  • Fourth Offense: Permanent Suspension

However, it is possible to skip to a Two Week or Permanent suspension based on the severity of the behavior in the game. Excessive negative behavior can result in a Two-Week or Permanent suspension at any time without having a chat restriction on the account.

That's how it works.

Proof? Look at every person that has been banned, most that are permanently banned have exactly done just this.

Actually no, the vast majority of people banned are people who like to troll and harass other players when things don't go their way. They often try to lie their way out of it by playing the victim card and/or the "but they started it" card, neither of which work here.

Figured how the system works, is beating the system itself. Though it is unfair and really unjustified for the purpose it is designed for, but oh well so be it.

No it's not. The only people I see ever claim that the system is broken are the people who have actually been punished by it and/or people who just hate the fact that Riot is actually holding people accountable for their behavior both good and bad. The system works, but people just need to stop acting like little kids and actually start taking some responsibility for their actions instead.

"without warning".

Ever heard of chat restrictions & 14 days suspension?

outlawgunner10/20/2016, 4:28:49 AM1 votes

This is exactly how it works, for those disagreeing, you're clearly part of ride Riot's dick movement team. As i stated being my 3rd or 4th permanent ban, I'm pretty sure i know how it works really really good. Compared to those of you who have never ever had a chat restriction, and or ban, which i bet are the one disagreeing and down voting shit. Once one a account is permanently banned, all of your other accounts are 100% less tolerably than your previous one. One game, of reports and you will be banned. Excessively talking will get you banned regardless if you aren't really offending anyone because you are flooding the chat area and therefore the system can pick up any words as offensives and subject them to harsh penalties. Asking to report yes, it can definitely get you banned, blaming others for sure, than you repeat them and you will get permanently banned after 3 or 4 games. Maybe less, sometimes 1 game is all it takes.

Okay now that you've figured out how it works, and everyone can read this, no more bitching about your bans!!!

These are the "rules" whether you agree with them or not. Don't do this, and you'll be fine. There. End of permaban complaint threads... right?
