I agree with the OP. The in-game chat has great potential for commendations and strategic communication, but it's mostly become a dumping ground for diatribes. I wouldn't be surprised if >80% of all chat messages were negative. Pessimism is rampant: successes go uncongratulated and mistakes are inflated as direct treachery.
This game's chat is starting to change my world view by making me think there are more bad people than good in this world
You shouldn't let what random people on the Internet say affect you so much.
