This is ridiculous there is a moderator deleting threads about gameplay in the gameplay boards

he has deleted 3 of my threads so far and hasn't given me any kind of feedback or reason as to why is he deleting my threads, I just want a straight answer from a rioter right now because it makes 0 sense to delete a video of gameplay from the gameplay boards and told to post it on concepts and creations.

EDIT: So I am told by a rioter that the post was deleted because it contained a video and I didn't comment about it, so it didn't matter that the video itself had a discussion of gameplay, he didn't bother to watch it and just deleted it.

You've had two posts removed from the Gameplay section. The first was a video post that didn't include any discussion of Gameplay, simply "Feel free to comment" which was redirected to Concepts & Creations which is the section for video posts. The second was a question about moderation which was redirected here because that's what this section is for.

Please read the Guidelines on the left sidebar for each section so you know what topics are allowed in each section. This will prevent further redirecting of your posts.

The video itself has a discussion of gameplay if you or the guy who deleted actually watched it would be self explanatory

Videos typically go in Concepts & Creations because their content is typically about entertainment. What sort of video were you posting in Gameplay?

It was a video of a guy throwing the game in higher elo, the youtube comments themselves have discussions of things that not only happen in lower elo, its pretty open for discussion about mistakes that people do when they get overconfident

It's good to have a topic open for discussion, but if you leave it too open no one will be able to make sense of it.

being open for discussion or too open is not for the moderator to judge, it was a perfectly focused video on things that happen in high elo the video itself is "how to throw in high diamond"

I have to add it has almost no editing and its not any kind of "dunkey" or "kshaway" videos. It doesnt even have edited music or even letters

I dont know he just deletes threads when I posted about people playing the actual game, is not meme is nothing suspicious is just people playing the game, others have done it at different hours but this guy is deleting mine right now

What is pissing me off is that the Curator or the guy who deleted it didn't bother to watch the video to tell if it included a discussion of gameplay or not, he just deleted it outright for being a video.

Moderators don't have time to watch the entirety of all video posts that get posted on the Boards. Some are 20-60 minutes long and we'd have to have 10x the staff sitting around just in case someone posted a long video to be sure to review it completely before making a judgement call on the post that was made.

As it stands, we look at the title of your post, the text you entered into the post, the multimedia content you included with it, and the section it was posted in. With all of that taken into consideration, if we have nothing to go off of because the title is non-informative and the text entered is non-informative, then the post effectively becomes solely a multimedia post which is not what the Gameplay section is for.

Posts in the Gameplay section that include pictures/video are usually only left there if there is an actual discussion topic in the title and the text included is an actual discussion. Otherwise, all moderators do their best to redirect them to the appropriate section.

Having prejudices about a post doesn't contradict the whole "fairness" in decision making? If you have a preconceived idea about a post what does stop you from just being arbitrary in deleting content?

Being short of staff shouldn't be a reason to apply justice or moderation based on assumptions. Otherwise what kind of forum/boards do you want to have?. My video wasn't 20-60 minutes long, it was 4-5 minutes long, if you really care about your forum its prudent to go the extra mile and try your best to me impartial and fair when applying the rules.

Not having enough information to classify a thread or post should not constitute a reason for deleting. Actual decisions should be based on evidence and not the lack of one.
