Unfairly harsh ban.

Today, I entered a league of legends game as a jungler. In champion select i banned gangplank, as i often do, and failed to see that my top lane had locked him in. I very politely apologized, even offering to dodge and take a time ban so he could hopefully have a better experience. The person below me bans zed, who was our mid lanes choice, says "I don't care, its normals" just being a complete jerk about it. When we go into game, my support tahm kench says "let's invade." And of course, instead of invading (I really should of seen this coming, he walked me under tower and got me killed. He then stole my small crug, making getting to level 2 off my first camp impossible and putting me incredibly behind. I chose to feed in retaliation, as I felt the trolling was incredibly unfair, and prepared for the low priority queue, only to find to my dismay I had been banned for 14 days. I did further research and have several issues with this.

A: This is my first offense. Besides time bans that I have taken for my own game crashing several times, I have never once been toxic, fed, trolled, or anything of the sort. B: After further research I learned there is seemingly no way to appeal. C: Of course my choice to feed was not ok, and I very much intended on taking the punishment, but 14 days in this scenario feels very much unfair. D: I attempted to report the tahm for trolling me, but because multiple teammates were in a pre made, that was rendered impossible.

I can respect punishment for the problems I personally caused during that game, but what I cannot respect is a system in which I can't effectively retaliate against the troll that puts me (a second time jungle evelyn who will not get ahead from behind) In a lose lose situation. Going AFK could get me banned, feeding will get me banned, and trying to play the game out would make me much more frustrated than I would like to deal with, and because of the aforementioned pre made team, reporting him would be fruitless. Also, the fact that I have no ability to appeal a punishment I feel is far too severe is disheartening and very frustrating.

Is there a way to appeal that I have not looked at? Is it in any way possibly to talk to anyone at Riot personally about the issue? Again, I feel punishment is necessary for what I did, I would only like to ensure I have a fair punishment.

To clear the air, I realize the title has caused a bit of an issue. I realized after the fact that it wasn't a great title, but never got around to changing it. This isn't me stating that the ban is too harsh and asking them to change it. I'm asking if the ban is in line with most bans they put out for this, because I wasn't sure if it was.

If he steals your Krug mute him and go to raptors or wolves. You decided to feed. you destroyed the game. It's not unfairly harsh considering you didn't Care about the consequenzes when starting to int. The others would grt their punishemnt and you could stay innocent but tbh you were childish

everyone claims they never got a warning before they get punished. your warning is the codes of conduct and terms of use that everyone agrees to when they play league of legends. also you can always find it on the website. since you claim you never saw this i have copied and pasted it here for you.

this wasnt your only time being reported. just the only time you got punished for behavior.

5.1. Can I troll, flame, threaten or harass people while using the Riot Services? (No. If you do, you might get banned.) Don't retaliate against trolls by feeding, because then you are becoming part of the problem. Just mute and report. Hopefully you learn from this 1st warning. Don't be that guy asking for his 3rd "2nd chance" when they hit you with a perma ban

Probably would have been better if you just left the game.

There is a way to appeal a punishment, though in my eyes it's kind of an unofficial way. You can send in a support ticket asking for another review of your account. However, in your specific case, it's quite unlikely to do anything. You admit to intentionally feeding, and the standard punishment for intentionally feeding is a 14 day ban. Riot does not hand out any lower punishments for this behavior.

but what I cannot respect is a system in which I can't effectively retaliate against the troll that puts me (a second time jungle evelyn who will not get ahead from behind) In a lose lose situation.

Riot's stance on retaliation has always been that it is completely unacceptable. Responding to toxic behavior with your own toxic behavior does nothing to make the situation better. Instead, it only makes it worse, especially for the other players on your team. The proper response against toxic behavior would be to mute them (or do your best to ignore them if they are feeding) and report them after the game if you feel it necessary. Not retaliating makes sure that you don't get punished, and reporting them will make sure that they get punished if they continue that behavior.

I know and understand how difficult it can be to deal with people like this, both in this game and in the real world. It's completely understandable and acceptable to be angry and frustrated with people like this, however Riot simply asks us to not bring that frustration into the game, whether it's through chat or gameplay behavior, as doing so does not solve anything.

and because of the aforementioned pre made team, reporting him would be fruitless.

Reporting them is not fruitless just because they are in a premade. The system doesn't only look at the player who received the most reports in each game. It looks at everyone who is reported and determines if each player's individual behavior is worthy of punishment. A single report is all it takes to flag a game for review. Furthermore, reports from a premade do not hold any extra power than a single report.

Now, there is a lot more to it than that, such as it doesn't necessarily review each player's behavior in a single game at the same time. It reviews each player's behavior once that player's account has been triggered for a review. I could go more in-depth, but the point I want to make is, as a solo player, don't be afraid to report players that are in a premade. Your reports do indeed count and will definitely help in punishing them.
