Flaming vs Mistakes

I can't believe people still don't know the difference between flaming and mistakes. If I suggest warding because you keep getting camped then I'm not fucking flaming you.

They're actually not mutually exclusive, either. The question is in the delivery, not so much the end message you're trying to convey in this case. "Hey, you should try to keep a ward in that brush/river/whatever" vs. "Why aren't you warding? F**** idiot!"

The same thing happens to me all the time. Most of the time it happens when I am the ADC. The support either goes in for kills and doesn't let me farm . . . . or takes my farm. Another instance is when I tell players in bot lane to stand behind minions so they do not get pulled or stunned . . . . yet they continue to stand away from the minion wave and get stunned . . . pulled and die. I am nice as well. I never call people noobs . . . or idiot or anything else. People just don't listen or want to accept help. I can be like Mr. Rogers to them all you want . . . . but they will never listen.

That's why I just do my own thing and try to play the best I can. I mean I am not the best player . . . and probably the best thing I can offer a team is map awareness . . . I am really good at keeping track of where players are and what they are doing . . . . but no one on my team ever listens. I can ping for days and players will still ignore it and do what they want. Warding and looking at the map and your surroundings can make or break a game. There are many players, especially in bronze, that cannot comprehend that overextending, not looking at the map, or not playing your role contribute to a loss. . Most bronze players just want to go and do their own thing to get kills. It cannot be helped.

It's not flaming if someone tells you that you are doing something wrong. If there are no insults tied to the helpful criticism then . . . you are just a stubborn player. I listened to what more experienced players tell me and I fix my problems. It is not hard to LISTEN to those that are a little more knowledgeable.

Do I really need to point out what flaming looks like?
