Dealing with people while trying to climb out of Plat. Advice?

Before going into surgery and recovery I was Plat 1 excited to escape the cancer that is Platinum elo, but I decayed.

It seems there are a lot more int'ers and failing meta breakers. 75% of my games has someone going 2/8 or worse, which is USUALLY ok, I am always ready to carry 1 person who is having a bad game and that seems to be normal. But I get someone trying to break the meta or mostly people who get placed into roles they dont play. a top Lee Sin into Nasus, AD Sion. Support Poppy. I can list many more from my match history, the point is they have all failed and I can't seem to carry them.

My question is...if I cannot carry these games, does this mean I am peaked? Is this something everyone has to trial through and get out of? If I can see the win conditions but cannot complete them, am I actually just bad?

I like to think of it in terms of statistics, but that's just me. There's only ONE common factor in every single game that you play. That factor is you. In this sense, as long as you are playing at a level that is better than the average player in your current elo, you will eventually climb to where you should be with enough games played. There is an equal chance of these "problematic individuals" that you described above being on your team or the enemy team. That said, you're free to think what you want! GLHF!
