What am I supposed to do???

Soooo I just finished up a ranked match that I lost...

The game started with sivir (my adc) not giving that great of a leash to our jg (jayce), but I stayed as sivir left and leashed the jayce, and warded where he told me to. But that wasn't good enough for him. The jayce got butthurt that the sivir didn't leash that well and said "I'm going to make sure you lose lp this game, I want to teach you a lesson for not leashing me"

then proceeded to troll, int, etc. constantly reminding us in chat "if sivir leashed me maybe I would gank/help"

he even afk'ed in base every now and then

but here's the issue:

he did everything under-the-radar: he didn't sit in fountain the rest of the game, bc if we reported him, he'd get caught in the act, so he pushed the boundaries just enough so that he wouldn't get banned/suspended. for example, when i told the enemy team in all chat to report jayce for being afk, when they arrived at base, he began moving around and autoing minions, so they didn't believe me. moreover, when i told them he was trolling, they said "he's 6/4, doesn't seem like it"

and he never, ya know, specifically flamed anyone, just refused to help lanes, afk'd, and gave the enemy team free kills every now and then. but it was not a fun experience. especially the manner in which he defended his actions of "teaching" us "a lesson". and he said he has "other accounts" so he doesn't care if he loses lp on this one. just lovely.

what am i supposed to do??? this is not the first time i had someone like him on my team, usually ive had worse. I'm so sick and tired of this bs...my reports just go into oblivion. this is the worst season in terms of player "health" ive seen so far...makes me want to quit this game so badly. i want to climb, I want to enjoy my time climbing (and yes, I can have fun while losing), but the BEHAVIOR of some players...

you should open a ticket and ask for a manual review, telling them exactly what happened

you report him for "verbal harassment" and "negative behavior" and "hate speech". Then at the bottom where it says "explain what happened" you say "player admitted to trolling in chat at ____ and then proceeded to do so" at when the riot police decides to check his logs they'll be like "oh yep there's the proof" and he'll get a slap on the wrist.

The first report option covers what he did I'm pretty sure. You could always open a support ticket for a manual review of the game. The automated system might not pick anything up, but if he was dumb enough to say it in chat, that's pretty incriminating. Record the match and attach the file in the ticket.

From a behavioral standpoint, you should just report him and move on. I've recently recieved 2 IFS notifications for people whom just AFK farm and ignoring everything else. The feedback came around 7-10 days after the game happened.

From a mentality standpoint regarding climbing in ranked, if you are good enough, you'll hit your goals before the end of the season. A loss like this is a small set back and you should be able to get it back easily, especially when the season is still young.

Trolling will happen on your team, trolling will happen on the enemy team. In the face of large number of games assuming if you don't troll, you'll have less trolls in your games than the enemy team. So just write off that game and keep pressing on.

Finally, there is no need for you to ask for reports. All a report does is to flag the system to review the game for toxicity and disruptive gameplay behavior. The number of reports doesn't change the results of the review and having more reports doesn't accelerate someone's punishment.

This is an example of true offences that we should focus on, rather than people who just flame. Which they usually try to win the game, not knowing that tilting their team doesn't work in their favor. But this guy, is the real troll. We all need to think of ways to catch this guy. I've seen this exact situation a few times. IT's not super common, like afk or even a straight up int'er, but it's equally impossible to mute or avoid the resulting defeat.
