As a Unranked Player, i find all the Possibilities of "Rank Shaming" disgusting

Don´´t this Guys have anything better to attack you via your Rank? or the fact that you dont posses a Rank at all? Its almost interesting how easily your Rank can get twisted into an Insult, no matter what Rank it is. Unranked? "Learn to PvP and stop playing Bots" Bronze/Silver? "Bad Player, pls learn not to suck." Gold? "Hehe, that not High elo." Plat/Diamond? "Fake, Boosted, probably hella toxic."

Can we pls stay civil, and discuss Topics based on, well, the Topic? And not from the Rank of the Person writing it? I agree that some Problems occur based on Low Elos being Low and High Elos being High, but its not pleasant to only read Comments stating that OP has his Problems based on him being X Rank.

That is all.

People are just that ignorant that it's too hard for them and out of the reach of their brain to say anything intelligent. I really get a kick out of people saying you are unranked and your input means nothing at all. They can't comprehend the fact that you may be ranked on another account. That is how dense these individuals are. But you see the state of the player base on a regular basis. These people probably have a hard time negotiating real life, never mind the game itself.

Nothing we can do but feel sorry for them.

You forget the classic 'anyone other than worlds placing pro teams are low elo' nonsense.

Newsflash people, plat is the top 10% of all players. I don't know what crack your're smoking if you would talk about someone in any other context who was better than 90% of their peers as if they sucked. Closest analogy I guess would be clowns sitting at home watching a sports match and dissing on pro players as if they know much better and could just walk over to the field and teach everyone how it's really done if they felt like it.

Rank shaming has no place in any discussion. What rank a player has in a damn video game shouldn't ever be cause for attacks or belittlement.

That being said, one's rank should carry some weight in regards to discussions regarding balance. If a Bronze player and a Challenger player disagree on the objective state of game balance, that doesn't necessarily mean the former is wrong. But he damn well better back up his argument exceptionally well. You can compare it to a layman arguing medicine with a doctor. The vast majority of the time the layman will be flat out wrong. Once in a blue moon, the bronze player and the layman will be correct, but it's so rare as to be laughable.

Last point is that a low elo player can actually talk about balance insofar as their own level of play is concerned. Maybe someone in low bronze has concerns about the PBE buffs to Garen, because at that elo Garen is still a problem. Even if your hypothetical challenger will be be correct in that objectively (read: when people play the game close to ideally) Garen still sucks, that may not be the case in Bronze.
