Question about bans

I'm sure this has been asked somewhere and would be fine with a redirect to where i could find the answer but my question is:

Does getting banned based on player reports revolve around # of reports, % of games with reports, # of reports in a certain time frame?

Basically I am wondering if say you are getting reported in 5% of your games (with the number of ppl asking for bans every single game I assume this would be a low amount) but you play so many games that you are accumulating a lot of bans per week, will you be banned? I just want to kind of understand how the automated system works a little better.

We don't know the exact numbers involved, but the system looks for frequency of valid reports over a period of time. So it's not a raw percentage of all games played, it's more likely a percentage of games played out of the last x number of games.

Take specific note that this is only valid reports, not just reports in general. Every game you get reported in (regardless of the number of reports against you) will be reviewed by the system. If it sees negative behavior in your logs, only then will the game count as a mark against you. As such, you could get reported in 100% of games, but if all those reports are genuinely false, you're not going to receive a punishment.
