What do you guys think of the Riot Sanjuro situation?

Riot Sanjuro was "caught" saying that a popular toxic League streamer/YT Tyler1 will "die from coke overdose or testicular cancer from all the steroids and we'll be gucci". People are up in arms about this saying that he represents Riot and he defends himself by saying "it's just my opinion".

i mean , riot bans toxic people but they have people working for riot that are beyond toxic . isn't this a paradox?

Sanjuro showed his human side. It's completely logical that things like this will happen.

Riot has to take actions regardless of it being a mistake by Sanjuro and I do think he knows that himself.

i mean we had enough threads about this... i think saying tyler is a fucking ahole would be totally fine. saying that "we'll be gucci" when he is dead is not fine at all.

and i assume sanjuro will get fired. i do feel a bit bad for him i mean he is losing his job, still his behavior wasnt right at all.

tyler on the other hand who i used to being floded with toxicty in his stream will laugh his ass off and is 100% fine.

I really don't care. But I also don't care about Tyler1. He's just annoying to me. Nothing against people who watch him; it's just not for me.

As for the employee, he should just get whatever punishment is in Riot's handbook. Usually they have a policy on these sorts of things.

It's completely improper, and indeed hypocritical if no punishment comes. Riot Sanjuro should make a public apology on the boards (also reddit), without trying to justify anything, and at the very least I think there should be some kind of suspension. I argue that 2 weeks without pay would be an appropriate punishment.

The last time I can remember anything as remotely high profile as this was Riot Nasus, whom iirc got fired for banning someone's account after an in-game argument.

This event is blown out of proportion, a side effect of the era we live in. Way to many people are snowflakes or just looking for some internet fame via getting the easily offended and stupid riled up.

So many claimed he wished death on Tyler1, when he simply stated Tyler1 will likely make poor life choices. Significant difference there but hey it don't fit their witch hunting.

This is likely just going to make rioters socialize less with the community outside of official game/events posting since people just look for stuff they say to snitch or take out of context. Sad world we live in.

I mean he crossed the line, and i have no doubt the higher ups when notified will have this person fired. He expressed his opinion about someone in a rude manner that is not tolerated by Riot.

Not really. At best it's hypocritical. But to be honest everybody is... which weirdly enough makes it hypocritical to point out hypocrisy in others. Either way, as long as Riot does not condone his actions, it's really juts hypocritical of this one particular employee, not for Riot as a whole. At the end of the day if Riot says they are handling the issue internally then that's that. Riot has always reacted adequately when there was trouble with one of their employees; at least in the cases I know about.

I think he crossed a very bad line, but I also believe this is relevant:

The experience he is having now is far out of proportion from the punishment warranted. Witch hunts are an ugly ugly thing.

well to stary off yea T1 has alot of banned accounts. most of the bans are not from bad behavior its from playing the game while perma banned. in most cases if you get perma banned its the account now in T1 case its not the account its him personally being perma banned. so when he goes to work (streams league) he gets banned. this situation just proves that people at riot are holding personal grudges on the guy. imo your personal feeling should be separate from businessmen but i guess rito does things diffrent. hope that cleared up somethings.

Just leave Sanjuro alone, we're talking about Tyler1, the guy that has 22 accounts perma banned.
