@Riot - This Garbage has to Stop

So, people have a bad time on this game often. Its just a part of it. But, call me slightly frustrated after prolonged experiences like this, but, I just had to sit through 30+ minutes of pure bullshit.

A jg and mid duo who were clearly just loling their way through the game is whatever. I was playing supp and we got ganked early and were put behind. My champ doesn't have much pressure early, however my adc wanted to be aggressive despite being behind, and we ended up dead again. He then gets mad because i picked an unconventional support (Mord). I tell him to relax, that it's just for fun since its normals, and that we should just calm the aggression down.

A few more aggressive plays, ganks from their JG, and dives and now we are massively behind. So begins 30+ minutes of my ADC and the duo relentlessly harassing me. They gang up with the enemy mid and are just spamming me in all chat, celebrating how they are going to group report me, and that I'm intentionally feeding and afking.

Here's the deal. This is a game. It's meant to be fun. And the common response for a situation like this has always been "Well that's what the mute button is for." But honestly, that shit doesn't fly with me anymore. It's unfair to players who want to have fun that they need to either sit there and deal with ridicule, or shut down their communications and be forced to sit through an intentionally prolonged game because there doesn't exist a proper or effective punishment system. Because players can group up and ruin the experience for others because it's the fun thing to do. This whole automated report system is bullshit. For as much money as Riot makes there should be a more effective system that can detect and punish players quickly and efficiently.

But, the reality is that these people will go and ruin another game for someone else. Maybe it'll be a kid, some young kid playing this game trying to have fun who doesn't have the maturity to just calm down and accept the punishment. Maybe he'll react, and rage, and then the report system will detect his language and he'll be the one who gets punished because he's got a group of trolls reporting him.

There are other, smaller games with smaller communities and development teams with less money who have more effective community control methods. Why can't a mega company like Riot do anything?

Why do people who say things like this get to walk away unscathed, while people like me (and the majority of "fun" players) who don't harass just have to deal with it?

Because Riot doesn't care.
