Now that rewards are out, what is the punishment for the sudden flux of "Trolls"
Dear Riot,
With the rewards out and the consequences of "trolling" removed, what is riot's next step in reducing the amount of rage quitters and so on?
For example I just hit plat (sadly I couldn't do it in the given time because of work) and in my last 6 games I have had 2 afk's on my team, 1 on an enemy team (2 definite rage quits and 1 that was possibly just poor connection), and 2 people intentionally feeding because they didn't receive the role they wanted. This caused me to lose 4 games and win an unfair game due to the enemy team's jinx leaving.
Here is what is going on if you are not aware:
- Like I said before people have their season rewards now so they don't care about their games now
- Banning was never a sufficient process because almost every player has a "smurf" (my best friend has 3 smurfs.)
My suggestion is that players have a "vanilla folder" in which all of their bans, reports, etc. are filed. Upon receiving these bans they progress themselves to having their account banished. Is this harsh? no, not at all. Here is why, Riot has a code of conduct in which the game is to be played, and correct me if I'm wrong but you sign a contract digitally that states that you will play within the Code. If the code isn't being held by one player with repeated offenses why keep banning them, if it hasn't solved the problem the first 3 times then what is going to solve it the following times.
So, Like I said, this vanilla folder will keep their bans and reports on file, they progress themselves to a banish after an amount of bans, Banish = account deleted. I think this would reduce Bad mannered players because even if they have a smurf, the chances are they are going to have the same attitude on that smurf and eventually that account will be banished as well...The player is left to two options;
-
Stop playing league of legends
-
correct their behavior to suit the code of conduct
You might say "banishing accounts will affect your income and number of players" I don't think that is true, I think players that love your game will take option two and change their attitudes, and the ones that stop playing will bring newer players in that will find the game more enjoyable.
Surely you realize that League of Legends is famously known for having one of the worst communities to play with, I can't count of my hands and feet how many of my friends quit playing because they said the community was unfriendly at all levels of play. If the community got better I think those players would come back.
Hope you read this riot, Bigg Fuddgee
