I just dominated a game as adc Zilean and at the end I said gg ez. I get a pop up saying someone is butthurt and reported me for verbal abuse. Saying gg ez isn't verbal abuse and I hope these reports lower their credibility as it rightfully should.
GG EZ can get u banned. Some even got perma ban since it wasnt their first offense.
Because that's what people want when they're down. A bitch slap.
The thing is there are "Victory" and "Defeated" animations and that's enough, you don't have to have your victory and be rude about it too.
Wait, who was rewarded here? Riot didn't hand out any rewards, they handed out a warning to someone who was being a jerk.
You shouldn't be a jerk to people, and other people shouldn't have to put up with your being a jerk.
Riot has specifically said that they check for "gg ez" since many consider it poor sportsmanship (unless there is an Ezreal in the game).
The warning just means that people have been reporting you; it does not indicate whether or not the reports were valid.
I honestly don't think saying "gg ez" is bad. I never say it (unless I know the enemy team is cool about and know it is a joke), and it isn't really bad........................
UNLESS..... you ROFLSTOMP them. If you ROFLSTOMP them, then its pretty mean, since they are probably really sad, with either them raging at their team, or their team raging at them.

Saying gg ez is like a slap to the face. You are bad and you are easy. That's what it basically says.
As everyone noted "GG EZ" is reportable and will get you banned over time.
The lesson to learn here is that there's only one thing worse than a sore loser, and that's a sore winner.
Google 'sportsmanship', learn and employ it in the future and you won't be banned for being a complete douche bag.

As for GG EZ, it is considered to be poor sportsmanship and gives the impression that the person saying it is a sore loser/winner. Saying it alone usually won't get you punished, but if it's included with other forms of raging, threats and/or insults then yes it will help get you punished.
