I have some people in my list that never more logged in league. I wanted to know if they were banned or if someday they could come back again. I don't know them in real life and my only way to talk to them was through league so my dilemma is that I would hate to delete their name and lose contact if they are just legit not logging!
Also I don't see any use of having a permanent banned account on my friend list.

ExFable3 votesIn none of the jurisdictions that I am licensed to practice law in (granted all within the US) would it be in anyway illegal criminally nor a tort of any kind if permanent ban status was released to the general public. This game doesn't even use people's real names for goodness sake. Read your local newspaper and you can see reports about people who were arrested for an actual crime published, even if they never get convicted or the charges are dismissed.
That being said, rather than a notification, wouldn't it make sense for permabanned people to just be removed from everyone's friend list as there is no benefit to them remaining?
Chermorg1 votesI like your idea, it'd be better for people who are permanently suspended to immediately have their friend's list cleared and to be removed from others' friends lists. The idea of a permanent ban is it's supposed to be Riot telling you not to come back. Thus, by leaving access to the friends lists (in client and mobile app) it encourages people to make a new account and come back. Not saying I agree that's what Riot should be doing (telling people not to come back), but it's what they've said their goal is.

VasilisGreen1 votesI never understood why aren't permabanned accounts just straight up DELETED... You know, obviously, a permabanned account won't be functional any time soon, ever, so why not just delete them and free up resources? Just saying.
DJMason881 votesSometimes the permaban can be because your account got compromised or if you're very lucky you can work it out with riot if you believe it was unjust (never heard of it working tho).

VasilisGreen1 votesA copromised account can be recovered if you can prove it was compromised and that you didn't share the credentials with anyone. Also, they don't have to instantly delete them, but maybe give it a month or so. Btw, i see that it's way too easy to lose an account with just having your League's password stolen. Email changes shouldn't be allowed without having a link sent to your mail by Riot, requiring you to click it and confirm that you actualy own the email address. Like, if you have different passwords for each service, i'd have to obtain your Email's password too to steal your account, else you could recover it at any time with just a password reset request. Now, if i happen to find out someone's credentials in league, i can just log in through chrome and link it to a new email address with nothing stopping me from doing it, it's stupid.
