I was chat restricted for using the n-word to refer to my cousin. We played a match together, he had just got a triple kill and I said, "My (n) just rekt your whole team." When he ganked mid for me and got me kill I said, "My (n) my (n)." Nobody said anything in game about it, but I was informed I was reported after then I had a chat restriction when I started next game.

Whenever I ask a white person why they consider the word so offensive, the only answer I get is, "I just don't like it," or, "It's an ugly word."

Anyways, I learned my lesson, won't be using the n-word again, just don't see what the big deal is.

It's an offensive word to the majority of people because culturally we're programmed to find it offensive, if someone on the opposing team used that word in an attack against you, you're saying you wouldn't report them? It's also a "hot" word where if used in a chat log and a report comes - it's an auto penalty. You're lucky it's only 10 days.

It's not a cool word to use regardless of your nationality. Don't use it in League of Legends. You'll always be punished for it.

do you honestly think that every black person thinks that using the 'n' word is appropriate even when referring to other black people? Also, why do you think it's okay to use a word that was used to perpetuate a hatred of an entire group of people by whites?

Oh, and other words like the 'f' word (for homosexuals) and the 'r' word (for people with disabilities) and identical btw. Certain words are just not appropriate to use in any situation. There is no positive meaning of these words.

If you're a black person and you "just don't see what the big deal is" about that term, then you're completely hopeless and not a single person here, regardless of how much historical and informative text they type, will make it sink in for you.
