and it's great that Riot's making sure people are informed when they're reported. It's cool, because I know the report'd get discarded by the system. I can't be verbally abusive without verbalising anything.

However, I'd like it if the system went the extra mile to tell the reporter, "Hey bro, I just discarded your report because while I get you were pissed off, that's causing your report value to go down."

Sometimes I'm that person who's so pissed off I report someone who's done nothing wrong, and sometimes I need that reminder that I'm just being a pissed off dick and shouldn't report people for bullshit. It's also a good thing to be told when my reports are discarded as bogus reports, because when I know that what I perceive as toxic behaviour might just not be toxic behaviour ("GG, EASY GAME"), I can calm down and stop getting my panties all in a bunch over nothing!

I posted the same problem. This new system without team builder allows report abuse. People are using the report tool as a mechanism to trigger infractions when they are angry that they lost the game. Frankly, it's the new method of harassment. This can all be solved with just a simple check for chat existence. In that way, anybody that wants to play solo can just not chat and avoid this mechanic.

riot needs to use the mute system instead of the banning system... people can mute someone that is toxic, that should be enough. they want to make a game for children then they shouldn't have it connected to the internet with adults who use swear words. also i have been reported for verbal many times and i don't type in game. it is a failed system and it will be their downfall, just a matter of time.
