what can i do to reduce Tilt, Flame and Aggravation -

I'm a terrible flamer, Always have been, I'm not proud of it, i'm simply just a dick. It's not cause I enjoy it I just get pissed, and have anger issues. Is there anyway I can keep tiltproof, and not flame? I mean it's pretty hard, And yeah I know mute chat, but if i'm not tilted or if someone doesn't tilt me I actually enjoy talking to the other players and just chilling, but when i get tilted that's hard to do, and saying dumb stuff comes naturally. So is there any way I can reduce tilt cause I don't enjoy being a douche, And i feel like I can never be apart of the community now due to my past offenses. Thanks..

  1. Chill music playing.
  2. Say nothing to anyone.
  3. Only tab into lobby to ban champ and select your champ.
  4. /muteall at start of game. No need to let your allies know you're muting them.
  5. When you think of flaming someone remember this is a video game, not worth your frustration.
  6. Remember that it is impossible to win all your games. Unlikely that you will win most. Be prepared to lose but try to win.
  7. Focus on your own gameplay and ask yourself what YOU could have done to not die/win lane/win game. Nobody matters in your games except you.

Seriously though, if you smoke then smoke

like 90% of bronze and silver are just high, and it's cool

I'm allowed to say this because it's legal here, but fuck it man, If you need to smoke a joint to enjoy your video games then more power to you

I'd advise against drinking though, you'll get banned quicker

  1. Look for good plays from teammates and acknowledge them.

  2. Start the game with a nonstandard greeting. I like using 'May the Force be with you' and have seen others use 'May the odds be ever in your favor'

  3. If you still find yourself starting to tilt, walk away for a bit. Go outside, play a different game, grab lunch... do something to put some time between you and the tilt and reset your headspace.

Try to be in a good mood before playing. If you already are having a stress-filled day maybe try to do something IRL to boost your mood. Exercise or go on a walk. When I have a tough loss, I like to wait 5 min before re-queuing and play with my dog just for a bit or watch a funny clip.

When it comes for In game advice, Just try to focus on calling out information when you can during the gray screen. Or if nothing else just minimize for the duration to avoid typing.

You have to realize you are playing this game for fun, odds are you are highly unlikely to make money or a living from this game. You shouldn't take it so personal.

Most importantly. Take breaks when you are losing several game.

Hope this helped you friend.

the best thing for me was to learn how matchmaking works.

riots matchmaking keeps everyone around 50% winrate. that means every time you win you are going to have to take a future loss. and for every loss you will get a future win.

so when you get those feeders or trolls you can know they are just giving you a fast loss, which you would be getting at some time anyway, and setting you up for a win soon.

the downside of this is it is harder to be as happy winning because you will know in the back of your mind you are causing yourself to lose later on. but you cant have everything!

lower your expectations. honestly you should have no reason to flame anyone atm. new patch everyone is learning you arnt smarter than anyone right now. i always flamed because i had a higher game knowledge than everyone in low diamond and i hated the stupid actions they took along with their explanations. so now im on a equal playing field and it makes me feel happy for once i have something to look forward to in learning! its been years since iv had to learn something in this game and i cant wait.

I feel your pain. It sucks when teammates ruin things, regardless of whether they did it intentionally or accidentally.

There are a number of things you can do both to help yourself avoid tilt and to help make your teammates respect you and listen to you more. I wrote an entire post on the subject, so if you're interested I recommend reading this:

https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/bv2m7fx4-feeders-and-toxic-teammates-got-you-down-this-may-help

If you want to discuss this subject further feel free to let me know, I enjoy discussing it.

Edit: as an aside note, you could try rebinding chat to a button on your keyboard besides enter. Having it on a different button will require extra time to think about and use, and may give you time to reflect and notice that what you are about to say might be bad. No guarantee that this will work permanently but it's something I've done a few times to help me break my own habits.

get a job where you deal in customer service, you will be forced to learn to deal with it or be fired.

Flame sarcastically. Keep it minimal. Egg them on by using undetectable sarcasm, i.e. "Good job".

It's more than enough to satisfy my "tit-for-tat" side when a true asshole tries to troll me. I ain't no saint, but neither are most of the virtue signalers here.

Try to stay cool and don't flame anybody. Open your music and have fun.

Idk, try not to take the game so seriously. Don't fool yourself into thinking you're so good at the game that you should win all the time. Be secure with your own skills, so it doesn't matter to you what others say because you know youre not useless and are actually probably average, thus everything people say to insult you is simply nonsense. Laugh about it. Laugh at people who are like you and get pissed over a video game. Think of the fact that it is simply a video game and there's so much more to life. Think about past games you've played but don't play anymore and how league is basically the same thing. Once you stop playing, all the hours you've put into it become completely meaningless in your life. Ummm... take breaks where maybe you do things that relieve stress for you. I don't know that's all I got.

don't, everyone is trash, kick em, especially when they're down

(That was a joke)
