So much salt for a normals

Had someone complaining to me about how I played. They even went as far as to search my match history for insults. But it was a normal match. Now I know I'm not all that good but there is no need for someone to tell another person to "Kill yourself" or "kys" and to call them a "retard". It's just a game folks. I know I get mad but I remind myself that this is just a game made to entertain people. And it's just a normal match, not a ranked match. Why do people get so flustered sometimes?

It's not 'just a game'. It's an investment of time. An actual resource with finite limitations and real-world relevance. That's why people looking for a serious match, but don't want to risk losing LP in ranked get angry when their team isn't taking the match they want to win seriously.

It's a waste of 20-30 minutes that they can't get back. Not saying that they have a right not to encounter players that just want to mess around, but you have to view their frustration from that perspective.

Riot should invest in putting in other "For fun" Game modes where people don't have to try and win on SR but not play ranked either.

Personally, if I'm playing Normals, I play to win. I want to try my best and have fun doing it. But how can I have fun when I have someone who's 0/4 at 6 minutes blaming the jungler for not ganking their lane?

Or when mid doesn't get blue the first time around so they AFK or run into the enemy team and die?

Or when top gets camped and starts raging in all chat that he's a better player and the enemy jungler is helping his garbage toplaner?

Or my favorite. When someone like OP says "It's just a normals, I don't have to try". When the entire point of playing normals is to both have fun, but also win without the cost of losing LP in the event that you don't.

All games matter. All games are a time investment. Just because you are putting in a half-assed effort doesn't mean everyone else is too.

I play normals a lot because it's quicker and I don't want to risk LP.

the OP is right, its a fukin video game. we all have good and bad moments, we win we lose, we get outplayed . ect its meant for fun and entertainment. if your that hard up over a video game maybe you need more things in your life.
