Don't write anything in chat. Even , "good job" will be used against you. Also, don't go 0-30 on purpose or go afk so your team can lose. No Chat = No Ban 100% of the time unless you actually grief the team by going 0-30 or afk.
I mean, this is accurate that you won't get a chat ban for not chatting, but you can also just use chat responsibly and correctly. I'm incredibly verbose towards both my own team and the enemy team, but have never had so much as a restriction since I started playing (in Preseason 1). And that's with my sometimes snarky banter.
Your attitude here with everyone is pretty indicative of someone who would get punished.

You did not get banned for saying "good job" and you know it, I know it, and everyone else knows it. Algorithms are not perfect, but no Riot algorithm would ban you for saying good job even if your entire team reported you for saying it.
You get banned for saying certain words and phrases that are ban-worthy and for being continually reported at a higher percentage than other players. I have a friend who has had 10 (not exaggerating) accounts banned from LoL. He whines about Riot banning everyone and yet I have had exactly 0 accounts banned and I talk in chat all of the time. If you get banned you deserve it.
