Can I report players for banning my champions in ranked on purpose?

There are 145+ champions, and each person can ban exactly one. And they can pick whatever one they want, and this is not likely to change.

Just banning a champion won't ever get anyone punished, nor should it.

Anyone, including yourself, can ban any champion for any reason they want.

So no, you can't report someone for playing draft pick the way it was designed. Look, we all know it can be frustrating, but pick intent is just that - intent. You don't always get what you hover, and you can change what you're hovering at any time.

Draft pick goes ban phase then pick phase, bottom line.

You can report any player in your game for any reason you choose. Whether Riot acts on that information is a different story.

People are liberal with the report feature. I suspect the Riot AI has some built-in function that might look more closely at an account if they have a high percentage of Reports-to-Matches ratio.

Imagine an account gets hundreds of reports for doing what the OP said. Call it griefing (how does Riot even enforce "giving up/griefing"? They don't spend man-hours watching game replays, and it's perhaps the least clear-cut report category. The system MUST view it as as function of how many reports there have been.)

If I ban a hovered champ for 100 games, and in each of the 100 games that person reports me for "griefing" category, do you all really believe Riot's AI would not take any action? How the heck would it know why I was even being reported since most people don't take the time to fill out the details? It'd just assume as a percentage the masses must be right.

That is correct, because invalid reports are thrown out.

If someone reports you 10,000 times for negativity in chat and you never say anything negative in chat, you aren't going to get punished just because people reported you.

Chat negativity is easy, there's a log. Not the example I used. I can grief without it being detectable by any quantifiable measure. For example, I vote to surrender, team votes no, I decide game is lost so I just spend the rest of the game jungling or split pushing waiting for the enemy team to win. I have given up, I'd even tell you so if you asked me. However I'm not dumb enough to say so in chat, and in fact I lay the groundwork for my defense by saying "I need some farm" or "split pushing is a viable strat that I think we need to use." But I know and my team knows I've given up.

What happens to that report? How would Riot know if it's valid or invalid? They can't. Riot is not going to pay someone to watch the replay of these games. The only thing that makes sense is either 1) No one actually gets punished for griefing, or 2) it's such a gray category, the only punishment that can be handed down is based on number of reports.

If number of reports plays a factor, then report away for anything you want - including lobby bans.

You keep saying this. Is there a source for this? Or is this "forum expertise" aka one person said it, someone else said "I've heard this before" and eventually it becomes a truism? I don't believe Riot would divulge this to be the case if it were true. So we're both guessing...
