Perma banned for wrong reason

So lets say a "friend" of mine created a low level account to script on it in bot games. The "friend" named the account S FOR SCRIPT and expected it to get banned , however when the "friend" opened the emal explaining the perma ban, he was told that he got banned for "spamming friend requests and other potentially dangerous messages". He legit told them that he was scripting and a few days later he received another email re-clarifying that he got banned for a friend request spammer. Is there any sort of explanation to this at all?

Btw I didn't expect the account to last , did it out of curiosity.

Sounds like he may have had his account stolen from the place he went to get his scripts. They are already shady places, so that is a very likely thing to happen in the first place. He may have been flagged for scripting already, but the system in place to handle the scam messages sent by his account acts faster than the one that handles cheating (which is often delayed and done in ban waves).
