In dota you cant get banned for flaming, the only penatly you will get is getting a chatban. what means that you are not allowed to write in chat.

do you think thats a good idea?

since many flames are reactions to blames, trolls or feed, would it be better to punish this players with a chat restriction instead of an account ban ?

I imagine the reason it works is that you're allowed to leave dota games, so if anyone trolls there's no consequence to afking.

Yeah that is one of the good things about DOTA 2 if someone abandons game everyone can freely leave.

Absolutely it makes way more sense then taking an account away from someone who probably spent a lot of money on the game and invested many hours of their time if they weren't allowed to type in chat it would make things way better for everyone in the game and the person who would otherwise be flaming because it forces them to deal with it outside of the game and would overall reduce toxicity by ten fold and help the community grow.

I haven't gotten chat banned like at least 5+ Months since Riots news systems have been in place.

Chat Ban's are a laugh really IMO, I haven't been chat banned in 4-5 months because of the new system that is able to detect actual toxicity, and as soon as players start an argument i call invalid i type (/mute all) in chat, only been banned or Intentionally feeding yesterday because of a toxic player stealing my role making the game unplayable with the way I play in a MOBA, but I am the same way in DOTA 2/ Smite, DOTA 2 however has just as bad of toxicity as League its random though just like League.

Last time I played DOTA 2, I was able to play 3-4 games without any toxicity tried 2 more and got toxic players refusing to listen "Reported them all, then just quit playing because all the reports stacked against me would eventually get me LPQ even though they don't pay attention after they know where I am going, and Unlike League, DOTA 2 has no role selection system in place or rules to enforce it...

But hey if people want to spend 20+ Minutes wasting their time for a lost game im fine with it, just don't blame me for the problems you create for example dying 0/14 in 20 minutes because the player is toxic and takes the role then dies 8 times themselves.

Honestly League is a great game, but over-all IF Dota 2, actually put in a Selection System Like League, and punished players who did not follow it, and those who spam false reports, then I would personally switch over to DOTA 2, but the problem with DOTA 2 is the "Voice Harassment" Last time I played it was great except for two games but when players get toxic they get on voice and yell some of the most hateful things to others its not funny its worse than League in that aspect.

The other problem with DOTA 2, is their Reporting system not taking care of the real toxic players for example as I said on these forums I am a solo lane player, in DOTA 2, I say that in chat (SOLO LANE ONLY) they don't listen game goes bad obviously then they rage well whose fault is it ( I just told you I solo lane only) and why, because its the same problem as League players have no idea what they are doing unless I duo Q over there too.

The only game you don't really get banned feeding from right now is Smite you do get banned, but not for doing extremely bad when other players cause it then get toxic I have had over 30+ games where I died 10-25 times over there because players argue over roles due to no role system same as League, Never got banned because they are in chat going the whole 9 yards raging.

Account ban. This is Riot's game, they abide by Riot's rules. When they break the rules, they suffer the same consequences as everyone else.

Imo, afks are treated to leniently in LoL. You can get account ban for naming your team mates idiots or whatever, but for leaving game, just wait 20 minutes before match, in that time you can make yourself sandwich, coffee, than comeback and you can play. I'd rather have flaming guy in my team than afk, because flaming guy, well, I can just mute him. Against afk I can do absolutely nothing.
