I got a 14 day ban... I honestly don't even know what I did wrong here. It won't be lifted from my account (although if it's possible, please help me out) but if I could get some pointers besides just "Don't talk at all" that would be great. I've been trying to choose my words carefully.

Was saying that I Wasn't going to try to compete with Sona for CS anymore worthy of a 14 day ban on my account? Or was it making a joke that no plan is a good plan?

Plus it was only One chat log. Doesn't it usually take 3?

You say the problem, ask it to stop, and do do nicely. That's perfectly acceptable.

From there on it gets problematic. It's clearly NOT working, yet you spend most of your game talking about muting the other players, constantly talking about Sona and her poor performance, and generally just being needlessly negative and putting the blame on another player. Even when that is 100% the case it's not really an appropriate thing to rant about in chat, although I know it's really frustrating. Ultimately all it does is make the game experience worse for everyone, yourself and your innocent teammates included.

You should avoid telling people that you're muting them or their pings.

Don't threaten to report. Either report after the game or not. It's a private decision. Putting it in chat inflames the situation.

Asking someone to stop trolling is the same as calling them a troll. If they're actually trying to play well, it's not pleasant. If they are trolling, they already know it and are looking to get a rise out of you. Either way, it's not the best.

Saying that you're not trying anymore is negative. If there was a player on your team trying their hardest, then they have to deal with 3 trolls instead of just the two. Toxicity is called toxicity because it poisons the environment, creating more unpleasant interactions.

Your complaint about Zac's ult was done in an insulting manner, focusing on what had already happened. The past cannot be changed. If you word it to look towards the future, "Don't ult the bruiser on to me next time", the IFS considers that less negative/punishable.

The number of chat logs to earn punishments depends on the severity and the time since your last punishment. If this was the first or second game off a chat restriction, it's normal for the IFS to be harsh.

/Edit I'm not trying to be harsh, I know you've been trying to be careful of what you say and how you say it. I'm pointing out the things that I know the IFS finds negative, so that you can include them in the things you're being careful of.

Honestly you are actually being really annoying, no matter what sona did If I were a solo laner or jungler and see my bot lane spamming the chat with useless shit and bitching all the game I would report them too.

But you didn't deserve a 14 day ban for that, i would only give you a 10-25 games chat restriction.Unless you were toxic in other games ofc.

The only thing you can do is never talk to a troll, or inter.

Riot only cares about what people type in chat and will ban you. The troll will continue to troll and your account will be perma banned.

They dont care if you submit video evidence, they don't care what they do in champ select or post chat. They only care that you typed in-game chat.

Riot does not care, understand that

Yeah... 24 lines of telling sona to stop is a little excessive man. That's what reporting is for. If she's intentionally ruining your game, you report. You don't tell her to stop 24 times in 15 different ways. Also, you said you stopped trying and to blame sona for it. You're just using chat in the wrong way. It's not intended to blame people, and harass them. 24 times telling her to stop becomes harassment. If she was trolling you, you report her after the game. Yes, you can ask her to stop, but i would've said 10 times is too much. 24? Waaay too much. I would've reported both of you. I hope sona received some punishment as well.

They show you 1 - 5 games of recent games of unacceptable behavior as example.

It doesn't mean you were punished for just 1 game. If we had your full report card, it would say something like "this behavior was consistent through 25% of your recent games".

Keep in mind that you are working yourself up the punishment ladder, and your next punishment is a permaban.

Is it 0 to 14 day ban? If yes, that's too harsh. 5 game chatban at most.
