Permaban chats should be a thing

Like this is getting really dumb, I just got mine 3rd 14-day ban in 2019, I mean if it is meant for reforming people, obviously it's not doing it's job at all. I would rather be permabanned from using chat and /all chat than this, so only communication that is available is with pings but I guess Riot never learns. I'l probably chill for a month after this ban, up my honor level and then start being ultra toxic again. Really bad system.

I mean, you can disable /all yourself. Then just, you know, not type at your team/mute them.

Riot tried accumulating chat restrictions, but those players ended up being toxic in other ways. Why is your "ultra toxicity" the system's fault, anyway?

From Riot Tantram:

It really breaks down into two categories.

1.) Helping players reform 2.) Shielding others from the behavior, at a cost.

We used to issue chat restrictions that essentially scaled indefinitely.

We were able to determine that after a certain point the penalty no longer helped with reform. The 10-game and 25-game counts for chat restrictions are based on data that they were both light enough, and felt strict enough to encourage people to understand their behavior is unacceptable in game and change it.

We also saw that the players in this 'large restriction' category defaulted to gameplay altering means of harassing their team. It caused an increase in feeding and trolling.

The sample size of this population and time frame is huge. Essentially the time spanning from the introduction of chat restrictions to the introduction of IFS.

So my question for you is, would you rather have more feeders and less negative chat?

This was just with infinite chat restrictions, so imagine how much worse it would be with actual perma-mutes.

Bottom line: If someone isn't gonna behave properly despite being given multiple chances to do so then why shouldn't they be removed from the game?

You got your 3rd 14 day ban? May I ask how exactly does the situation look like? Like 3x 14 day ban on 3 different accounts or 3 on this account - which time period was between them?

because permanent chat restriction won't work that has been explained many times

And the punishments are supposed to hurt. And if you've spent money and time on your account, it will hurt

3 14 day bans? It's time to stop being toxic
