Verbal Abuse

League does nothing to police the verbal abuse in this game, out of all the communities they foster the most toxic one to date. what makes this worse is they do nothing about it with the system they have in place, it actually encourage players to just think of new ways to do something without getting in trouble for example miss spelling trigger words, being passive aggressive just enough to upset you but nothing you can do to actually get them in trouble with the system given to you to make sure this doesn't happen. then if you say something back because your tired of getting yell at or extremely frustrated you can get in trouble and your account perma-banned even tho you spend money to have people insult you and not get in trouble and it doesn't matter if you played for years and got to honor level 5 and then get reported by some troll that plays a "for free game". none of that matters because riot believe they have a system that works?

Hang around the boards a bit. You'll see plenty of people complaining about getting banned for verbal abuse.

The problem is that there is no way to preemptively stop it. Muting is how you immediately protect yourself. Reporting after the game lets Riot know there was a problem.

but it still doesn't hide the fact that the system in place doesn't work. verbal abuse happens almost every game and riot does nothing about it. you can mute people but that's your responsibility and not riots? the problem is the verbal abuse from the community that isn't being controlled by riot in the first place then there wouldn't be retaliation lol

Verbal abuse doesn't stop being verbal abuse just because you're saying it in retaliation.

Mute them if they are starting to get under your skin. Report them after the game ends.

the fact that y'all are saying look at the boards plenty of people complain about being banned means there's a problem that isn't being fixed no matter how you look at it or who's fault it is. I'm not satisfied with the it's your responsibility too reply that isn't helping saying well you need to be proactive because it's not my job nothing i can do

I'm just saying if 7/10 games someone is being verbally abusive that should be viewed as a problem that isn't just the players responsibility

UPDATE: league is having a fundraiser for the victims in the parkland shooting that occurred in Florida, lets pray that they can start a program to bring verbal abuse and the mental conditions subjected through stressful environments to light next and discus how our community can make a difference so we can actually make a difference in the crisis in america today

I understand you have to be responsible for your behavior, that is something that can be applied to life in general. you will go to jail for breaking the law however the government doesn't let people break the law and throw other people in jail based on lines that aren't clear such as what determines a players toxicity or what actually makes that player negative and deserving of punishment. Riot in fact could be more assertive in their community such as adding more strict chat bans to cool off players instead of just letting them run their mouths
