Is this bannable?

Picking an off meta support (like Ryze) and instantly clearing waves of cs from your adc. Now, I think this can be considered griefing and assisting the enemy team. As an adc, there is no beating a Ryze in wave clear unless you're playing sivir who has equally good wave clear, just not as early.

What this is essentially doing is starving out a core member of the team and rendering them completely useless for a huge duration of the game. Now, as an adc, if you go an off-meta support that requires kills I have 0, absolutely no problems with you going off the wall getting them kills... but if you starting chugging on kills and cs that's basically telling me I'm not needed in the game. I'm just wondering, would a report do any sort of justification for this?

The only thing I see that would amount to any kind of drawback to this action would be griefing. You're not playing the role that you said you would play, therefore you're hindering your team by taking away more than your fair share of the pie.

Oh, and this ISN'T a rant because this happened to me. This happened to the adc on the opposite team and they ended up afking after like 10minutes of sitting at 12 farm. I felt sorry and didn't report them, but reported the Ryze instead. I decided to let leavebuster handle the adc afk. Just doesn't seem fair to sit down through a game like that and I sympathized with the other adc.

TL;DR

Is taking cs and officially starving out your adc after accepting the support role a bannable offense? If it isn't, should it be?

On the other hand, if you are royal trash at getting CS, I WILL be taking your minions as a support as its wasted gold every time you miss.

While some people just flat out grief to grief, remember there are some supports who can actually play this game, and they are also as entitled to the minions as you are.

Was it blind pick? If he was actually given the role of support I'd say ya he's reportable but just because someone goes bot lane and isn't adc, doesn't necessarily mean he's support.

Yes, it was blind. And yeah, going bot lane doesn't necessarily mean support, but you're still in a situation of where you have to be considerate knowing that adcs do not perform well with little gold as opposed to other champs. If you're going off meta and need 1 or 2 cs here and there, there are ways you can get gold without clearing waves upon waves of cs from your adc. You're not fighting or netting the adc kills to make up for the gold deficit that you're putting that particular champ in, but instead making it so that champ is indefinitely useless until farmed up.

Let's say this went on for about 10-15minutes and the adc has less that 20 farm, no assists and no kills, but that support Ryze has all the cs and whatever kill he managed to net through their transactions. You know what that adc is going to spend the rest of the game doing? Playing catch up. And no one wants to play catch up simply because their teammates wanted to be douches about it.

If you play blinds and unknowingly get a troll support as adc, there isn't really much you can do.

Anyways, I don't want to go off on a really long tangent, so here's my whole point:

It's not a matter of respect, or even playing your role for that matter. It's a matter of consideration. You don't need to have respect or even like the role that you get stuck in to be considerate.

It's not assisting enemy team if he uses the gold well to gain objectives and kills. It might be griefing, though if that 'support' also is getting you kills... I mean, junglers taxing a lane isn't a bannable offense either, so a support getting you kills and taking CS seems like a gray area to me.

It's the most common form of griefing from the support role, more than straightforward intentional feeding. Usually when it is done, a meta support (usually a 'fake' type support pick aka Ring Mage) is picked as to prevent suspicion of being a griefer and often by someone who performs well with the CS. This means mid game and late game it looks like the ADC is bad while the griefer is good in the terms of KDA.

  • They push the wave in dangerously
  • Do not do anything to aid the ADC.
  • When the ADC dies they experience deny them by waveclearing.

I hate supports who take adc's farm. Or even touch the minions since it interrupts adc's farming. That's like the first thing you should learn as a support - don't touch farm. Few thing are worse and more frustrating in Lol than this.

Good point with reporting them for assisting an enemy team... I never knew what I should report them for.

Lol ya I recently started an account and was playing adc in blind picks. All the low level supports think they're helping by putting some auto attacks on minions. It's so frustrating because I gotta come up with the nicest way to phrase asking them to not hit minions or else they'll think I'm flaming them. It's super fucking annoying.
