Can i mute myself ^.^ ? Can we have the Option to mute ourselves ?

First of all, nobody is under control, i know that Riot forgives too much, So they know that nobody is perfect and everyone make mistakes. Not exactly everyone, maybe like 5~10% of people never flamed, and those are really unique and special and they have risen and created just like that.

Edit: And by maybe i meant to say its not a clear % first, second, i said ( Never ) Never flamed, Look at you, did you never flame? Never? if you did once out of 10,000 then take yourself out from the 10% of people that never flamed.

Options:

-if someone muted himself, will not be able to chat during the game, and cannot unmute himself back. -he will be able to use Pings as well.

Note: its not easy to bend the 'Enter' key for most of the community they dont know that. A simple mute self key would be easier.

Note: if someone have the idea that mute self key will lead to more trolling, Nah its actually the same nothing changed, if someone want to troll a game Logically he will troll it without being toxic in chat.

Also its not harmful, if someone muted himself, Logically means he won't communicate with team, doesn't mean he won't play during the game.

Everything will be the same, but Less toxicity, if you feel harassed from toxic players upvote this, So they will never harass you anymore!.

Edit: you can mute yourself every 4 games once, every 5 games once, or you get Extra number of mute self key if you didn't use it. Otherwise it will be very clear that if someone used it to just troll. its easy to dedicate trolling but not to stop toxic.

The percentage of people who never flame is a lot higher than that. I'd say 5-10% of people never feel frustrated or angry at this game, but a very large percentage of players can avoid putting that frustration and anger into chat when they feel it.

That said isn't muting people on your team functionally the same as muting yourself? I think when you mute someone they can no longer see your messages, so muting your team members at the start of the game would be the way to go. I could be wrong of course, I don't use mute very often.

it is a lot higher i think i have been wrong, maybe 50% is around fair enough. it still high % compared to how much league of legends having players. well i didn't know that if i have muted someone he wont see my messages, but you mute people to not see what they say not in order to stop yourself from saying^^ im making this thread to help the little amount of flamers to find a way for that and to stop themselves from being toxic, Also put in mind that my English is not very clear ;)

Wait. What? Do you know what % is and how it works? You're throwing out these random ass percentages way too much. You have absolutely no data or evidence to base it on. You just make it up and it's not helping you prove any point

If toxic players are so triggered and angry that they HAVE to type in chat, they will find other ways to express their anger once their chat is removed. I can guarantee it that the amount of people inting and trolling will rise with that

hello there, Coopa123 thanks for reply appreciated. you will get an answer this time, cause im really spending time argue about something like this.. as you have said ass percentages the fact that its not really an ass, the idea and what i wanted to mention in my thread that the % doesn't matter at the end of the day. if im hitting on 5% out of 6 millions, it will be 300,000 number of players, by only 5% so if there is 300,000 toxic players out of 6 millions, it still a large number. if there is 300,000 friendly players out of 6 millions, it still a large number. im talkin about 300,000 out of toxic players is still large number ain't it?

second thing that annoyed me from your reply, ((That is not True)) i didn't say its true, which actually putting you in a wiser or advicer position (acting like one), all i have said i didn't know which Actually means ( it still something new to me and im first time to know it )

Also put in mind, that lot of players are pissed off from toxic players and they don't want them to trash talk with them :) the amount of trolling isn't huge, No one will ever waste his life by just trolling people around anyone is playing league of legends are welling to find fun and to win the game, No one will ever waste 2 hours everyday only trolling people.

Also if someone want to Troll LOGICALLY MY ASS HE WONT TYPE TOXIC IN CHAT he is not idiot enough to do that, he will just troll like when everyone does, Nothing will change, Nothing, its About chat not ingame. if some people hated Toxic players they can just Upvote my Thread.

If u type /note <message> it will create a notepad folder in league and the messages u write under that command will go in that folder, and only you will be able to see it, not your teammates For example: /note go fuck yourself garbage (lel)

Actually it's more complicated than that, the issue is that past experiments have already shown that players unable to talk are more likely to troll/int, that's why we don't have permanent chat restriction anymore.

ikr, but more likely lets say we don't have the mute self key, and you have found someone ( you saw him trolling , going to enemy team and staying just to die ) but somehow he is sticking his ass to get some assists and gold etc,

Will you be able to stop him? no will you be able to stop yourself from flaming? well, maybe, maybe not

lets say it was your challenger promo, and you couldnt stop yourself from flaming to a (troller) and you got banned, So sad, if you could have a self key mute bottom, you wouldnt flame him, ( it is a losing game already ).

What would be stopping you from just un-muting yourself whenever you wanted to trash talk? If you didn't have the self-control to stop yourself from trash talking, how will you muster up the self-control to keep the mute active?

i said in my thread if someone muted himself, he wont be able to chat during the rest of the game. :>

because logically i have tried and failed, Even if i have succeeded doing it, it still sucks, im should Allow and Unlock it everytime i want to play a game Also what if i want to chat in the middle of a game? is there time to unbind it back? Why not just download a program? Why i cannot have a single bottom To mute inside the game? And why do you argue that? im serious im not pushing you, i want to make my point clear. just ask me any questions you want and i will try my best to answer you.

You can't have it both ways. You can't have it easy to start/stop as well as preventing you from chatting when you're displaying no self-control.

At one point Riot gave problematic players what might as well be permanent chat restrictions. Riot found these players would just use other means to upset other people when they couldn't chat.

Even if you're unable to chat, given a lack of self-control, what would stop you from just trolling teammates in other ways?

I actually mute everyone in the game from time to time, when I find that I am spending more time caring about chat over winning. Winning the game for your team can be a priority and treat it as such. -I take it upon myself to look at mini map more often. Ping not only for myself but to help my allies be aware. -the only expectation is how am I gonna win this game , over what might be said -consider what is ahead, objectives , team fights, positioning after first lost tower. -I sometimes gradually unmute on superb plays made. -I also type in a message and don't expect a response when it's heat of the moment. Such as coaching Morgana to use her R before the Q for more consistent damage on a gank.

For the original post, I am in control of what I message. So update your priorities. Toxic players get muted with no remorse, and they show up less often. If a teammate gives up on a game that is at least 30% winnable I critique them on plays they could have done better.

well said, i appreciate your reply ^.^ however, some player like me, is playing around 20 games a day (in my free days) i find at the very least 5 games that none sense of team-play everyday, Everyone just going around etc, and yeah it might be a win game by just luck. cuz i sometimes get 24/6/14 score, (leaving my lane first turret destroyed just because game is already ending at 10~15 minute) so with even my help, my leaving lane, my 2 turrets lane destroyed with all that we are still losing, in this case its not luck, it just when your team separate most of the times doing what they do, (but the game is ending) and enemy team is hunting them 1 by 1.

Someone like me, i got almost 400 mastery score in less than 6~8 months, And im new player in the game btw. i dont have older accounts. i m able 100% to chat while play. this is really really old when i was dying because of chat, i sometimes typing lets grou.. and the enemy team is hitting me ( 5 second later ) ( lets group up ) Nothing happen, because i never felt chat is stopping me from playing its just makes me toxic more when i feel like they are wasting my time, Like i have fuked up the game did everything possible and not possible, but im still losing, in the very hard, when you lose all your hope, ( even Eminem have said it ) ( Lose yourself ) so ( lose yourself and mute yourself ) is better than being harmful to others. ;)

Also i agree toxic players should be muted, But its not a clue to stop them from being toxic, they mute themselves before they being toxic and get muted, they mute themselves before they became harmful to others, Easy, hope it helps

There are ways to mute yourself, but I'd say to you... Don't hit the enter key.

There was one post about a month ago where the guy uses a script every time you press enter it just cancels it out and riot said that was ok. Google it maybe you will find it
