When Players Go Our of Their way to Harass Their Own Team
And I'm not talking about in chat.
My most recent example: I am a support main. It is my best role, by far, because I play it so much. I queue into a ranked lobby and my adc asks if we can switch, claiming to also main support. Even though I look him up and see he's obviously a Diana main, I don't want to cause waves and am hoping we can have an amiable match. So I agree to let him support Trundle like he wants.
The ENTIRE match, he tried to grief all of my cs, used his pillar to stop all my recalls so that I literally had to run back to base every time wasting a stupid amount of time, pillar'd me into the enemy thresh hooks/stopping my escapes from the enemy, would chase me down if I tried to farm away from him and use his pillar to block my movements across the map.
When the enemy team saw this, they stopped trying to kill him and actively cheered him on, waited for him to give them a pick on me. I ended up 5 levels behind the enemy adc/mid laner at one point. He also would steal kills from the rest of the team whenever he possibly could. Because of this, he got a nice 7/1/11 kda at the end of the match and I had an embarrassing 2/7/7. Thankfully, the other players on my team were able to work really well together and we won despite the best efforts of our troll.
But in cases like this, where I literally was chased around and harassed the entire game, it is beyond frustrating to have no other recourse than the small "report" feature. There is almost zero feedback, and a player who did everything he possibly could to make my game/my team's game a terrible experience, still earned a win and LP.
The worst part is this isn't even the first time I've experienced something like this. It's more rare than toxic chat, but I feel like if a player does this even ONCE in a game, it should have drastic repercussions and an instant temporary (or not) ban. It's a completely malicious way to abuse the game and shouldn't be allowed at all.
