Completely disable chat?
I think a good feature would be the ability to disable the chat entirely in the game. Harassment is so prevalent, I'd rather just not deal with it. I'm a person who has a hard time holding back my temper when someone starts harassing me - While normally this doesn't bother me, I'm usually up for trying to put a harasser in their place, Riot has a VERY strict policy when it comes to retaliation, and if you're too harsh on someone who's harassing you, you are just as likely to get a chat restriction if reported. I've faced this problem a lot of times - I get people calling me anything from retarded to at the very worst things like telling me to hang myself almost every other game (Being a low ranked player, since people are way more salty at low ranks it seems), and being someone who hates BS, I find it really, really hard to just mute them and carry on, sometimes the words just type themselves to try to counter the stress these terrible people give me.
The only real solution to this would be if I could just disable chat. I know, yes, it will give me a strategical disadvantage, but I really cannot cope. Not only do I feel crap when I get harassed, but I feel even worse when I get long bans for consistently telling people who are toxic to me to go F* themselves. It both depresses me and makes me feel even more stressed, which doesn't help - it prevents me from winding down from these situations by pinning me as a bad person after the event
The game moderation doesn't hold good for someone like me, who is never the aggressor in a situation but can't help but discharging the stress back at the person harassing me. I can't think of a single solution to prevent me from both terrible stress and potential account loss except for simply disabling the chat, completely. I honestly just want to play the game and not have to deal with the toxicity that is a constant possibility in the game. It's easy to make more foes than friends and I'm done trying to make either - I just want to play, plain and simple. Pings are enough for me.
