Hi, i have somethings to discuss with the banning system. Today, my account thelastcuban on NA was banned due to toxicity. In the game i was toxic due to someone who was flaming my friend and i defended him. Even though i was toxic, i don't believe this deserves an account ban, rather than just a chat restriction. It makes no sense on how my account was banned due to me defending my friend, and if me defending my friends got enemies or teammates triggered they have the option to mute me and if it so much of a problem just chat restrict me. I've been in games where people int on my team and don't get penalized about it, and I get banned for defending my friend. I appreciate league trying to fix toxicity, but a ban should be for people cheating or intentionally feeding. Not for toxicity. That's is what chat restrictions are for, not bans,

You cannot defend someone with toxicity -- all you can do is attack back. Note the difference in the following responses to "You suck, you fucking n00b!"

"Eh. Having a rough game, yeah."

The first is a counterattack, and unacceptable. The second is a harmless deflection, and fine. The third is a defense, which blocks all further attacks against you. Your defense is the mute button, and if you and your friend used it the attacks instantly cease.

Additionally, if you got a ban for toxicity, it either means it is a recurring habit or you used extreme language, such as hate speech.

Its funny that you say your teammates and enemies can use the mute button if you annoy them, but you dont think about the fact that YOU can also use the mute button instead of "defending" your friend.

So you told him, no your friend is a good player? He did x because of y... he had to recall and couldn't go in... things of that nature? Or was it more like childish insults in retaliation for insulting your friend? There's a big difference. Also, you know that mute option is available to you, right?
