Staying in base too long?

Sometimes when I back, I take some time deciding what I should buy based on the enemy's team comp and I get spammed with pings or complaints or report even (I normally play support). I mean I understand if my adc is dying or an objective is being contested for and stuff, but if the other lane is just farming or backed as well how bad is my action?

Or even if I was checking Snapchat or Messenger and happen to stay in base for no longer than 30 seconds. It's not like I'm alt+tab'd or anything.

They think you are tabbed out or w/e. They ping you to remind you that you are in a league game.

30 seconds is way too much time for staying at base... hell even 10 seconds is way too much. The normal time to stay in base is tops 5 seconds.

Sometimes "surveying" the jungle for enemy positions before the minions are summoned is very useful and advantageous.

I would highly recommend making Itemsets for your favorite champions. You can use several at a time, so you can tailor them in advance to make your backing time quick and precise.
